Schlader Beach House in Beautiful Laguna Beach, Florida

Our beach house is located on the west end of Panama City Beach, Florida in the community of Laguna Beach. This is a quiet 1940’s beach community, with charming vintage beach homes. Enjoy the sound of the ocean, the gulf breeze, friendly neighbors, and families who have been vacationing here for decades. The Laguna Beach Property Owners Association controls the beachfront; so there is nothing blocking access to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, sugar white sand and natural dunes of this area, which was voted #1 best beaches in the world by 'Travel and Leisure' magazine and is regularly voted in the top 10 beaches! If you like to spend most of your time on the beach, you can't do much better, and, no crowds ever! Our beach is one of the last undeveloped beaches in the area. From the house, if you walk ¾ of a block to Front Beach Road and cross the road ... you're on the beach!!
We do have a higher rates during holiday weeks, Spring and summer months.

Our family has enjoyed owning this vacation home for close to fifty-five years. It is fully furnished with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room (with 2 couches, 1 is a Queen sofa bed)/dining room, fully equipped kitchen, central air & heat, washer and dryer, dishwasher and two televisions with basic cable and DVD players. The front of the house has two bedrooms; one with a double bed and the other with a queen bed. The extra large screened front porch is our favorite place to relax, hang out, read, take a nap, or just sit and swing on the porch swing!! The master bedroom/bathroom is in the back of the house and has a king-sized bed and master bathroom.

If you head:

EAST on Front Beach Road, there are plenty of “beachy Souvenir Shops”, grocery stores, seafood markets, restaurants, etc. Thomas’s donuts is at the end of the street across from the beach! It was in Southern Living magazine as a top 10 donut shop in the nation! Pier Park a shopping village with fun restaurants, entertainment, retail stores, Starbucks, Target, and a 16-screen movie theatre is three miles from our house. Keep going east on Front Beach Road and there are plenty of places to dine, Goofy Golf, a fishing pier, and just 10 minutes away is a kid pleaser ... Shipwreck Island Water Park. We are also located only three miles from Frank Brown Recreation Area where horse shows, sports tournaments, swimming meets, etc. are scheduled all summer!

WEST on Front Beach Road or Back Beach Road will lead you to Destin, FL, which is only 30 minutes away. Destin is a large beach town with beautiful beaches, a huge outlet mall, shopping centers, and fantastic restaurants and attractions. In between Laguna Beach and Destin are more amazing beach communities along The Emerald Coast with unique little shops and restaurants! There is outstanding fishing in the area ... some of the best in the state for kings, dolphin, cobia (ling), bonita, wahoo, pompano, grouper and many varieties of snapper ... you can be in 100 feet only 20 miles out off of these beaches. Crabbing in the area inlets is great and great fun for kids. You can find many places on Panama City Beach or in Destin to charter a boat for deep sea fishing, play golf, tours, airplane rides, boat rentals ... much more!!
