Open and spacious one story cottage nestled in 1/2 acre of trees and multilevel decking.

Fully furnished two bedroom, one bath with oversized shower. Sleeper sofa too!! Hard surfaced floors, high ceilings in family room. Open and bright.

Kitchen is complete with full size smooth top stove and oven, refrigerator and bottom freezer. Microwave, coffee pot, blender and so much more.

Dishes, silverware, cook wear; all linens provided. Even a stacked washer/dryer unit.

Two grills, both charcoal for your bar-b-que pleasure. Outdoor furniture to accomodate your group.

Went with a friend, we are both 50 and enjoyed our stay. Bedrooms where comfortable, fully equipped kitchen and nice patio for those who like to be outside. Also it was very clean.

The property is near a large lake and has ample opportunities for fun on the water and good food. The local folks are friendly and willing to provide information. The Cottage is "very nice", comfortable, clean, well managed, within a dozen miles to cities, camping, boating, restaurants, etc. Would recommend to everyone.

Holly, was great and very informative! Nicely remodeled two bedroom with great amenities! The large wrap around decks was nice sit outside and relax in the shade and contain our little dog. Very close to lake and Highport Marina, will definitely stay here again!

The cottage was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations! The house was nicely furnished with plenty of comfortable seating options, the kitchen and bathroom were very clean and well stocked, and the beds were soft and comfortable. We loved the decks and fire pit area as well as the surrounding trees. The neighborhood was quite and it was so nice to get away from everything for some rest and relaxation. The property is close to everything we needed. A short drive away is a fun swim beach (Island View Park) and multiple marinas. We had a blast riding jet skis on the lake! Communication with the owners was fabulous and we will definitely be returning to the property!

We loved our trip! The host was so accommodating and the house was all you could want. The deck wraps around 3 sides of the house with stairs down to lower decks ending with a creek, bridge and seating. The decks have multiple gates allowing you to limit access for pets and small children. Neighbors were quiet but friendly. This is a relaxing retreat that has a beautiful clean interior. Would love to visit again!

We had the best time, it was quiet and there were plenty of things to see and do. The marina is very close and it’s a bar and grill so that was nice. We can’t wait to go back, the boat rentals were very reasonable.

This was our first time using VRBO. This house was extremely clean and beautiful. The deck was amazing. We sat outside a lot while we were there and loved it! This was a perfect stay for a few nights away with an easy check-in/out process. This is a lovely, modern-style cottage located on an excellent tucked-away property at the end of a dead-end street against the backdrop of a wooded area. Because it is located in a residential neighborhood, the common noises of cars driving and dogs barking are frequently heard but it seems like a safe place for taking walks (day or night), even with the dog who receives lots of barking attention from the neighborhood dogs! The common residential noises don't detract from hearing or seeing wildlife such as coyotes, owls, rabbits, and web-weaving spiders! The front yard is gated with a short wooden picket fence that extends around the side of the cottage. There are stairs that lead from the main deck to a small deck with a wrought-iron table with chairs and a lovely tree shooting out from the deck floor. Outside of the small deck is a wooden bridge that leads to a bench and fire pit. The wooden bridge extends over a babbling brook perfect for quiet reflection/prayer or meditation. The bed in the master bedroom is really comfortable. There are fluffy and flat pillows provided which makes for a good night's sleep for the stomach, side, and back sleeper! There is limited internet so no streaming movies, music, or videos! Be prepared to bring DVDs as there is a DVD player or to enjoy a book or board games! There are friendly neighbors across the street whose property extends to the end of the dead-end road and a sweet pit-bull dog who enjoys running after and catching thrown sticks. He's friends with the next-door neighbor's dogs. Those dogs are friendly and make good neighborhood watchers. This is a lovely, unique spot tucked away in an area that lets you feel like you're away without being too away from civilization. It is perfect for a couple with children or for a couple's retreat.

We had to find a place last minute due to a remodel at our home. Shady Lane far surpassed our expectations. The house is cute and clean. The deck is beautiful. Neighbors were friendly and the host made sure we were well supplied at arrival.

Was here for a fishing tournament and was here for a few days and this place was amazing, safe secure had no issues, dead end street, neighbors dogs did bark but it was a good security system over all one of the most relaxing places we have stayed, the pictures dont do it justice.

We loved this property. We took our dog as well and he made friends with all of the other neighborhood pups. Loved the various levels of patios, multiple places to grill food, fire pit, one mile from marinas, restaurants, and Island beach where the kids can play! House was perfect, clean, and comfortable! Plenty of cookware, towels, blankets, etc. We will definitely be back soon! Affordable and fun!

Location is great. Lots of trees around property to have privacy. You are close to the lake and close to bigger towns. We used this house as a central location and took day trips to near by areas places within an hours drive. This house has a welcoming environment and it was so easy to relax. Beds were so much better than a hotel bed!
