CASA CENAMI is ideally located in the heart of Lucca's historic center. Step outside the front door and in less than a minute you're sipping a cappuccino in Piazza San Michele, window shopping on the stylish Via Fillungo, sipping wine in the 2nd century BC anfiteatro, listening to nightly operatic arias, gazing at the striking golden mosaic facade of San Frediano, photographing panoramics atop the Guinigi tower, delighting in the tastes of the countless wonderful Lucca restaurants, or taking an afternoon stroll, bike ride or jog around the 16th century walls encircling Lucca's centro storico. At the end of the day, return to the comfort of Casa Cenami where the thick walls keep it cool in summer and warm in winter but new air conditioning really keeps it comfortable.

Our flat is a two level apartment on the 2nd floor of an historic, well-cared for building. All the charm of past centuries: beamed ceilings; hand-crafted Lucca floor tiles that have been maintained but coupled with modern comfort and convenience including brand new air conditioning in both bedrooms & living room. We provide free wireless so you can share your experiences with friends and family back home. An additional bathroom w/shower was added upstairs in 2011 to allow a bathroom & shower for each main bedroom. The apartment is ideal for 2 couples. A gourmet, fully equipped gas stove kitchen allows you to try out local produce and products. The two bedrooms both have a queen size beds and a small twin bed is off the upstairs bedroom. Antiques we purchased from Lucca's monthly antiques market outside our front door adorn the space but comfy couches allow for quiet afternoon naps. There's a washing machine, iron & ironing board upstairs. All linens and towels are provided. Plus we provide 2 bicycles to explore the ally ways and walls of Lucca.

CASA CENAMI allows for endless day trips. Catch the train, bus or drive to coastal Cinque Terre, the leaning tower of Pisa, the marble mining mecca of Pietrasanta, the palio horse races in Siena or other Tuscan hillside towns, miles of wine and olive oil routes and Florence is only 45 min drive away.

Getting to Lucca is easy. Fly direct from NJ USA to Pisa. Catch a 25 min bus that goes direct from Pisa airport to inside the walls of Lucca. Then within a 5 min walk, you're home. Or fly into Florence and catch the bus or train to Lucca - transport here is easy.

There is an 80 euro cleaning & greeting fee that is paid in cash in euros to our house manager. All other costs are paid thru VRBO. The apartment is on the 2nd floor of the building. There is no elevator.
