About this apartment rental

This 140 square meter (1500 square feet) three-bedroom three-bathroom triplex apartment is located on the 4th floor in a charming and newly renovated five-story townhouse (together with 2br 2ba VRBO Listing #303342), steps from Saint Sulpice, Saint Germain des Près, and the lovely Jardin de Luxembourg. The house is found on one the most prestigious addresses in Paris - the elegant, quiet, wide and very safe Rue de Tournon (also home to the French Senate and the Garde Républicaine). There are only two residential units on the top floors of this building, and both of them belong to the same owner. The bottom floors are occupied by a discrete art gallery open only by appointment.

This flat was fully renovated recently by an interior designer using the finest materials and finishes, including a top of the line made-to-measure kitchen with Lacanche stove, marble countertops, antique oak and slate floors, custom wood library, and luxurious bathrooms finished in marble, antique teak floors, tumbled marble tiles, and with Horus faucets.

All bedrooms are quiet and face to an interior courtyard.

The apartment has a west exposure and the living room, dining room and terrace are flooded with sunshine all afternoon until sunset (which occurs around 10pm in the summer!).

There is air conditioning in all rooms.

The unit can sleep up to 7 people (including an air bed for one person).

Light daily cleaning (except Sundays) is mandatory and included in the price. Full cleaning at the end of your stay is also included.

For security purposes, the flat is not recommended for children below 7-years old. Should you want to bring a child, you will be requested to sign a letter acknowledging that you take full responsibility.

Please note that Bedroom 2 & Bedroom 3 are accessed through a covered outdoor passageway on the fifth floor. The passageway is approximately 3-4 meters (10 feet) long, covered by a permanent roof and in the winter on the sides by chic Moroccan tenting material. See fifth floor floorplan below - specifically the passageway between the kitchen and bedrooms.

This apartment is ideally situated in the middle of all the best that the left bank has to offer! Rue de Tournon is the continuation of the very central Rue de Seine, which runs through the heart of St Germain des Pres. The closest metro stops are Odeon and Mabillon, both which are a 2-3 minute walk from the apartment. The beatiful Jardin de Luxembourg is a one minute walk away from the flat as is the Eglise Saint Sulpice. The Carrefour de L'Odeon is a two minute walk away, and a little farther (five minutes on foot) is the Eglise Saint Germain and Cafe de Flore.

It was our first trip to Paris and the location was great. Easy to walk everywhere and an easy commute to the RER/Metro for longer trips to Disney and Versailles Palace. There are great Gelato shops and restaurants Just a 5 minute walk away. Not many negatives. The apartment is clean and taken care of. We had our older son stay on the main floor (13 yrs) and our daughters and my wife and I stayed in the terrace bedrooms. They are pretty close but I could see it being an issue if the kids were younger. The stairs to the 2nd level are a little dangerous for kids younger than 6. Only negative I had was bringing my WIFEs luggage up the 75 stairs upping arrival

The process of renting this apartment was very easy and the owner was available throughout. The climb up the stairs was well worth if for the view, we watched the light show of the Eiffle Tower from the balcony. The location is great as well. 10 minute walk from Notre-Dame and 20 minutes from the Louvre. Really happy we found this place and would go back again.

We had an absolute blast visiting many top tier restaurants and shops in the area. Very safe and friendly area. English spoken by every place we visited. The three story apartment is fantastic and a fun place to stay. It’s important to note that the stairs aren’t going to ideal for families with young children or elders. For everyone else, it’s great!
