About this apartment rental
Three bed rooms, two king sized and one queen sized plus two children's bunk rooms sleeping six children in the most desirable Sea Colony building with indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub and fully equipped exercise room in the middle of a half mile of private beach. Three full baths, two with tub shower and one with a stall shower. The apartment is fully tiled for easy maintenance. In addition the living room has two pull out queen sized beds and can be separated from the dining room by a recessed sliding partition. The bunk rooms have three bunks each. One bunk room is intended for smaller children having two bunks that are 70 inches long and one that is 66 inches. The other bunk room is in the laundry room and has two bunks that are 76 inches long and one that is 56 inches. It is at the end of the air conditioner run and can get warm. There is an evaporative cooler in that bunk room to supplement the air conditioner and the two larger bunks have individual fans.
There are two large flat screen HDTV's, one 50 inch with an associated disc player in the living room and the other 40 inch in the back Master Bedroom.
All guest four years or over are required to purchase recreation passes. to gain access to the complex and it recreational facilities. The cost of the passes in 2020 were $40 per person and are good for a calendar week.
Parking passes for two cars are available. There is one indoor reserved parking space and there are other unreserved parking spaces available but sometimes they are hard to find. It is best to only use the car in the reserved parking space so you can be assured of a parking space when spaces are tight. .
Edgewater House has an indoor pool and hot tub plus an outdoor heated pool plus a fully equipped exercise room. In addition it has a convenience store and deli.

We had a wonderful time. The condo was perfect for my family. This condo was designed with a large family in mind There was plenty of room and it is in the perfect location, close to elevators and beach access. The owner is very responsive. I will rent this unit again.

This corner apartment has a very spacious living room and a wrap around porch, much bigger than other sea colony units we’ve stayed in, which was great. Linens are not included but we arranged for them and paid for them with the cleaning service. The kitchen was fine, we don’t cook on vacation so just needed the keurig, toaster and microwave. We’ve been visiting Sea Colony for 12+ years and rental prices keep going up and up. For what we’re paying at this point, it’d be nice for owners to do some upgrades with furniture that’s past it’s prime, and a fresh coat of paint. But this is true of most of the SC rentals. Our king bed mattress was comfy though! If you’ll use the little bunk rooms for kids, pack a nightlight and possibly an extra fan. Overall I’d recommend this unit, the owner is responsive. Loved that check out was 11am versus 10am, I got in a peaceful hour at the beach and still had time to shower and finish packing.

The floors were extremely dirty when we arrived but the owner sent the cleaning service back immediately. I think he should consider using another service…other than that it was a great experience! Great view and close proximity to everything!

Check in process was a nightmare, we got to the check-in office at 5:25, we were told that they were closing and we would have to come back the next morning. Security would not let us in without a pass, finally got a temporary pass, got to condo and access code did not work. We left several messages for the owner, finally got in touch with him and given a different access code after 30 minutes of calling and waiting with five grandchildren and luggage on the balcony.
All in all the unit was okay, but could definitely use some tlc throughout.
