John and Cindy were very responsive throughout our entire experience. John met us personally at the house for check in and showed us around. The house was clean and stocked, as expected, and the pictures of the property and the amenities listed were accurate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We will definitely consider staying here again for future visits.

The view is absolutely stunning and the deck above the garage is the perfect place to enjoy it. The beach is just steps away and we loved collecting oysters and exploring. This is a fabulous rental property and ideal for larger groups as there is plenty of space (and beds) for all. It was clean and the furniture is some of the nicest we've ever seen in a rental house.Constructive criticism: be aware that the driveway is very steep and made of gravel, so be prepared as you drive down to the house. Also, the house number is NOT at the driveway entry so future renters need to check their email for more directions.

This was a beautifully kept house that had everything we could need. They even included some TV subscriptions for the evening or a rainy day. The beds were very comfortable, the view was amazing, oysters were plentiful, and it was stocked as if we lived there. Just bring your food and clothes! We even heard a whale blow and saw it swim by the house. There is a lot of wild life in the area including eagles and herons flying by. We had a great stay at Pali Kai!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Lilliwaup area for a month in Sept/Oct 2024. The house was two stories with a detached garage. The master bed and bath we used were on the second floor and were quite large with a king bed. There were dressers but very little closet space. This bedroom has direct access to the large patio area over the garage and has a view of the water. The master bath has a shower only. There is another bedroom on the second floor that shares the upstairs bathroom with a king and twin bed. The third bedroom has a king bed and is on the main floor and has access to a second bathroom in the hallway. It has a tub/shower. The house was well-equipped, and the appliances worked well. The living room area has a huge sectional couch. The TV set was small and worked well. We used our own firestick. This was a working vacation for my husband, so he set up his work area near the dining room overlooking the water. The internet was good, and the speed of the connection was adequate for our purposes. The view of the water from the front patio was very nice. We were able to fit our large SUV in the garage. There is room for other parking in the yard. The washer and dryer are on the second floor between the two bedrooms. The area is remote, beautiful, clean, and safe. It was about a 10-minute drive to the nearest town of Hoodsport but most other places were at least a half-hour to an hour drive away on a very curvy road.

We stayed for four nights and wished it was longer. Everything worked. The view was great and extremely tranquil. The property itself was spacious, with great light. Having both indoor and outdoor dining was a treat as was the viewing patio. All around wonderful. We felt welcomed and cared for. We will return.

John met us at the property to give us the keys and go over all the details of the house. Lovely home with beautiful views. The house is well stocked in the kitchen, board games, beach tools and toys, and beach towels. Things to know: No curtains or blind so the sun comes in early, although we were up early so it didn't phase us. It is a bit of a trek down to the water and back up, so if you have physical limitations you will not be able to access the beach. The upstairs bathroom is inside one of the bedrooms (not the patio access bedroom though), so be prepared to be walking into someone's bedroom if you're staying upstairs, not a big deal for us since we put our children in there. We enjoyed our stay.

Met Cindy and John who showed us around their home. Views were fantastic and great exercise walking down and up from the beach. Kayak”ed every morning - they have three and life jackets in the garage. House was really clean, kitchen fully stocked with anything we needed, lots of beach towels, view from the deck in the morning with our coffee was so relaxing!! We’ll be back!!

Beautiful setting, views from the deck and front bedrooms are glorious. John checked us in and taught us how to collect oysters and cook them in the BBQ - delicious. Place is so well equipped that you won’t need anything. Kayaks are available on the private beach for use.

This home had everything to unwind from busy life and enjoy amazing surroundings. Many have said it is the best stocked vacation home they have stayed in- I would agree. Anything we needed, they had. Whether to cook, enjoy the water, wash our clothes, or just relax. So much space for our family of 5 to sleep and spread out. Some of our favorite things were gathering oysters ( thanks to John for helping us know how to do this properly), kayaking, walking along the water, exploring nearby waterfalls, and just curling up with a book on the terrace or in the window nooks. We are sad to be leaving. And hope to get back soon!

This is a great retreat, perched above the canal, isolated from the highway by a bit of driveway. As they advertise, this is not just some rental, but their home with their furnishings where you're invited to come and stay. Our getaway was too short but we did cook local clams and eat local oysters, and our pups were welcome here too!

We had a lovely 18 day stay that included oyster harvesting, visiting seaside towns and lots of kayaking and hiking. Great hiking trails and lakes within 15 minutes of property. The home is inviting with gorgeous vistas of the Hood Canal. Very well equipped and comfortable. The owners were onsite at check-in to orient us to the home and made themselves available throughout our stay. Best of all, it was quiet and serene.

Watching the tides come in and go out wonderful. The living space was great, both the bedrooms and the shared space. It really was a perfect spot for three couples and was very well stocked.

We stayed at Pali Kai for only 4 nights, too short a period for such a fabulous house and interesting community. Harvesting oysters at our house, clamming near-by and enjoying Hood Canal was relaxing, different (we're from Hawaii) and good fun! We were lucky to attend the annual Sequim Lavender Festival, that was great too. Thank you John and Cindy!!
