Villa O Monte: charming family villa near Alvor

Lovely property with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The hosts were very helpful and provided food and drink for us on arrival. The swimming pool was large and there was plenty of sunbeds and chairs for relaxing in. Great facilities throughout the house, everything was as described

Very comfortable beds and pillows. A lovely swimming pool, with lots of sun loungers and beautiful outdoor views. Fully equipped kitchen, with everything you need and the bathrooms were very nice, with large and small towels, a very powerful shower with plenty of hot water, lovely large sinks and a bidet. We had a very warm and hospitable welcome from the owner (Jim) who had wine and fresh bread rolls waiting, which was a welcome touch, after our journey.

Alvor village with eateries and entertainment were a little further than we'd have hoped, but a very inexpensive 7 minute taxi ride away. Also, there are a vouple of other restaurants and bars slightly nearer (a 15 minute walk, 5 minutes up the hill and turn right, then 10 more minutes) There was nothing else we didn't like about this beautiful house. Our stay was relaxing and comfortable.

Greeted by Jim who proved to be an absolutely perfect host. Tremendous attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble. Always lovely to have a few treats in the fridge and a bottle of wine upon arrival!

The only thing, and I mean only thing, was that we all found the beds hard. However, Jim organised to have a duvet placed under the sheets (like a topper) which made things considerably better.

The villa was extremely quiet and stocked with everything you could need. The beds were the most comfortable beds we have ever had abroad and the dining area out the back was perfect for family dinners. The pool was a lovely area, immaculate and great fun for all, it waa difficult to leave to go to the beach. Having said all that, Jim is the star of the show, he keeps the villa and pool area immaculate, he's on hand to help if you need anything, he has the welcome pack every family needs after a journey down to a tee and he himself is as charming as the villa. Everyone of our party loved this villa including the children, teenagers and adults.
