Villa Ela vacation apartment Leon

We have just returned from a week stay Aug 2025, a family of two adults a 7year old and a 1 year old. Villa apartment is great, very well equipped with everything you need. Cot and highchair provided for the baby with the option of a pram. Lovely welcome fruit bowl, wine, beers and chocolate treats for the children on arrival. Lovely hot powerful shower. Apartment is spacious with lots of little personal touches such as a beach bag you can borrow, board games etc Pool is lovely, well maintained and a great temperature. The children loved it and there are some pool toys that are available to use. Beach, supermarket and a lovely restaurant are about a 15:20min walk away, but you do need a car to see the island. Only a 15min drive to Argostoli for lots of shopping, restaurants, nightlife. Island is very family friendly. The hosts Niki and Gabi live on the top floor of the villa meaning there on hand if any issues, - we had none. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning

Villa Ela is a lovely basement appartment at the edge of the village of Kalligarta on a hill overlooking the sea. The Villa has three appartments with the owners Niko and Gabrielle occupying the top floor appartment. The appartment is well furnished and has a covered outside terrace by the pool which is reseved for guests in the basement apartment. Niko and Gabrielle were excellent hosts having been in touch since the booking was made. Niko met us at the airport which was much appreciated as the appartment would have been hard to find on our own. He was also kind enough to give us a driving tour of the local area a couple of hours after we arrived showing us where to find the supermarkets, restaurants and the local beaches. This was a lovely touch that I haven't seen from other rental properties. Kalligarta is a fine base for exploring Cephalonia as it is five mintues drive from the main road that provides the main access to the rest of the island. Most places on Cephalonia are reachable within an hour - the distances are not large, but getting anywhere on Cephalonia does take time as the roads are narrow and pretty windy. We really enjoyed our stay liking both the island and Villa Ela.
