Lovely property, amazing staff. Big rooms. Food in the restaurant was nice
Needed a little more cleaning in the rooms. Hairs and grime in the shower cubicle

La colazione mi ha assolutamente deluso
Pochi dolci, briosche non pervenute.

Camera molto spaziosa e ben arredata. Letto comodo

We spent 1 night in Hotel Belvedere in August 2021. Many who stayed here around this time were moved to Hotel Corona due to Hotel Belvedere getting renovated – we had no such luck, we actually stayed in Belvedere (though we had to check in in Hotel Corona, and the breakfast was also served there). The pictures uploaded to Booking.com must be old, because the hotel looked much more worn down, from the outside it was almost like an abandoned building (it helped that there really was an abandoned shop/space under it/on the -1st floor, facing the small street next to the hotel). The rooms were OK, but the bathrooms were heavily outdated (see further details below). The staff was happy to change our room when the one we were originally given wasn’t OK for us (it had rather small and not well-placed windows, which, combined with its small size would have likely triggered my claustrophobia – I always look for hotels offering rooms with windows that are OK in size and positioning, and the pictures were showing such rooms). Luckily the new room was OK from this aspect. There were plenty of places to park our car in a(n open) parking place near the hotel. The building is close to the main road (about 50-60 metres), but its windows are facing a small road with only a few cars passing every now and then, so it is a great fit for those who would like to be close to the centre but don’t like street noise. The breakfast served in Hotel Corona was OK, with a passable amount of vegan options for a shorter stay (oats, fruits, and the hotel also fulfilled my request to offer plant milk).
The building was really in need of renovation. The rooms were OK, but the bathrooms were heavily outdated, and some of the facilities were not functioning properly – the faucet at the sink had 2 knobs, and it was very, very difficult to close the hot one, and it still kept dripping – after a while we just didn’t try anymore and only used the cold water (and we closed the door because the dripping was annoying to listen to)… the bathtub was small but placed rather high, it was a little difficult to get in, and I imagine it’d be even more difficult for someone shorter. The bathroom was long and narrow, and some stuff (like the bidet) was in the way as you approached the bathtub at the opposite end. I’m like a walking stick, so I can’t even imagine how uncomfortable it must be for healthy-sized people to move around there. There was no WiFi. It wasn’t mentioned anywhere either, but I was surprised something like this can still happen in 2021.
