This is a great chalet set above the town in a quiet location with beautiful views, about 20 mins walk from the town centre and 50 mins walk to Peles and less than 10 mins taxi from the station (you can get Uber or Tudor taxis are good and speak English). Catalin messaged me (necessary) instructions to find it. The chalet is clean and has a fair range of crockery and cooking equipment of varying vintages as well as plenty of loo roll and some kitchen supplies (oil, sugar, salt etc). Bedding was clean and comfy, with a choice of thicker duvet or thinner counterpane - that was thoughtful as summer turned abruptly to autumn during our stay. It was easy to adjust the heating too. There is a lovely covered outdoor area with table and chairs and a comfy seat to sit and admire the mountains.

The living space is quite limited indoors; the sofa bed is the only space to relax but is quite hard and had only one scatter cushion where several would be needed to prop you up. Likewise only one pillow and towel per person was out though we did find more in the cupboard. There are no curtains downstairs so if you use the sofabed you are woken by the sun. The chalet is located up a long semi-paved track so if walking you have to be comfortable on uneven terrain with no street lights. We did feel safe though, even late in the evening.

The property is located into the forest, in the middle of nature and it was equipped with everything we needed. The hosts allowed for privacy, they did not bother us at all during our stay.

Sometimes there was some noise coming from the highway / train station that is not very far away.

Difficult access with the car and on the stairs.
