Culp House: Ideal Location, Historic Gettysburg! Can Rent with the Cricket House

We've been coming to Gettysburg for almost 15 years now, and we like to stay in vacation homes. You can tell the owners are in the hospitality business because the whole stay was thoughtful of the guests. The messages we got before we stayed were friendly and informative about our stay. They always told us to reach out if we had questions. The house was very clean. No dust bunnies or hairs anywhere. You can tell it was well-maintained and taken care of by the people who have stayed here in the past. No scuffs on the walls or damaged furniture. We stayed during a warm time, and the AC worked perfectly. There were paper towels and soaps, but we brought our own to have for the week. There are plenty of lights and lamps throughout the house. Especially if you have kids in the house, it was nice to see night lights in the halls because I always bring mine with me. We didn't cook, but there were pans and plates in the kitchen. The fridge and freezer kept things cold and frozen. At the time of our stay, there were two coffee makers. A pod machine and a carafe filter/drip machine. The back deck is a nice place to relax and is private. It's even covered so you can sit in the rain. The parking spaces are right next to the house, and we never had any issues with people parking in those spaces. You can walk anywhere from here. I asked a random question about the history of the property and got a response right away, which I didn't expect. We will stay in the house again!

Excellent location to tour Gettysburg. Walking distance to all of the desirable restaurants. The age of the house set the tone for a great trip exploring the history of Gettysburg and the civil war. Very clean.

This home was very close to everything we did in historic Gettysburg, yet just far enough from the main drag to be peaceful. The place was clean and very comfortable. The back patio was private and quaint. Our host was very quick to respond to questions and ensure we were comfortable.

We enjoyed being with our family and seeing the sights. The house could use some TLC (though we realize it is historic). We think the city overall could use a lot of love. It was our first time there, but we could tell that Gettysburg seems to be having a difficult time maintaining its former glory. We wish you well
