About this house rental
With the sound of the spring feed, fresh water Glenwood Pond cascading over the dam, this tranquil and scenic location makes an idyllic location for the ultimate island get-away. Located only minutes away from the iconic West Point Lighthouse, red sand beach and Lighthouse Willy's restaurant at the West Point Harbour, ON GLENWOOD POND provides luxury, fully equipped accommodation's for up to seven ( 7 ) PFA'S ( people from away ) guests. Our 2 story, 3 bedroom home has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and 1 bedroom with queen size bed and 1 single bed for the kid's! Each bedroom is also equipped with a 3 piece en-suite! A fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities are also provided for your convenience.
Located at the intersection of highway 14 and 139, the Coastal Scenic highway ( Rte 14 ) will take you to North Cape and the famous Wind Observatory.
A short 15 minute drive into the town of O'Leary, the vacationer will find the local grocery, liquor and gas bar. For those that want to take a vacation from cooking there are four local eateries as well. Maple House Bakery, Vinny's Take-out, Canadian Potatoe Museum and the Backwoods Breakaway Burgers.
Those that wish to stay put, the Brook Trout fishing in Glenwood Pond is said to be some of the best on the island ( don't forget your fishing license )!

On Glenwood Pond is a quiet, peaceful, picturesque stay. Our host Greg was very friendly and had great communication. The property is very clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities. I would highly recommend this property to other visitors.

We were welcomed by our lovely hosts, Glen and Joanne upon our arrival. They gave us good local travel advice of where to go and what to do in the area. We enjoyed the local treats they left for us as well! We enjoyed our 4 day stay at Glenwood Pond. The home was very clean, spacious, cosy and comfortable. A huge well appointed kitchen, large dining table and living room with plenty of seating. We loved all the special local touches and history that was used to decorate the home. The spacious bedrooms had comfortable beds and the house has four bathrooms! Watching the birds and listening to the waterfalls was very relaxing. There was always something interesting to see while sitting at the kitchen table. We have done many VRBOs over the years and this one has been the best so far. It going to be hard to top this one for our annual biking trip! The Nova Scotia Biker Chicks

Very nice, felt right at home. Loved the sound of the waterfall. The pond was so alive with birds . Just an overall wonderful experience all round.

I can't say enough about this property! It was absolutely fabulous! The amenities were all top-notch. Greg was a joy to have as a "landlord." He was responsive to all our inquiries and even went above and beyond to help us purchase AND COOK lobsters for our last meal!! Thank you, Greg and Joanne, for a wonderful experience!!
