We had a wonderful experience with every interaction planning our trip and with the actual visit. The house was beautiful and perfectly maintained. The owners were attentive and made sure we were fully informed on how to make our family time at the house most comfortable. Couldn’t ask for a better situation. Outstanding views and location. 5 star house and location.

We had an amazing time and this house. It was so clean and comfy! Perfect for our twin families with small kiddos. It's decorated super cute ...really gives that log cabin in the mountains feel. The kitchen was well stocked with everything one could need to cook family meals. Communication with the owner was also really easy. We loved it so much we've already booked our return stay for Christmas!

The view from the living area is totally breathtaking. Home is adorable and spacious. Owner is engaged and always available. So clean and tidy.

Cons: Undisclosed camera in house. Wish we'd called VRBO when we found it. Smoke detectors missing. Parental control on TV popped up in 8th inning of MLB ALDS game. No washcloths. Aggressive cleaning men arrived more than hour early on Sunday, took 1 much needed parking spot with there SUV on the long, STEEP, SCARY, narrow driveway, yelled at us to leave early per communication with someone not in our party. If more than 2 cars you park a mile away at public lot, shuttle people/luggage. No street parking. WIFI requires Xfinity login/account trial membership. Lamps missing bulbs, little task lighting. No instructions on bear-proof trash which ended up being on side of hotel down the mountain per cleaning men. We'd been taking trash to Harrisonburg. Friends we travelled with had 2 dogs. Owner said they could be on property, not in house. Quickly realized there was no way to contain them, a neighbor’s dog was roaming freely, steep lot dangerous, and owner left a note to beware of snakes/ticks. Carried 1 dog, walked other on leash directly to deck which has no outside access. Dogs did not return to property during stay. Message left for owner but he didn’t call back. Pros: Beautiful view, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds but cons outweighed pros. All in all not a good experience.
