About this apartment rental

Sunset Sands is a lovely two bedroom one bath condo located on the third floor right on the ocean front directly on beautiful Mission Beach in San Diego. This cozy and upscale condo is great for all. A private balcony and most rooms have an unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. Comfortably furnished and fully stocked this condo sleeps up to 6 and has everything you need. The owners continue to improve and upgrade during their stays. This year (2023), they've put in a brand cabnitry in the master bedroom, a ceiling fan and a new window. They've also put a really nice screen door so you can have a wonderful crossbreeze off the ocean. New photos to come soon. The newest features they've added are an electric fireplace in the living room and a portable A/C unit in the master bedroom. Another cool feature is the end table that has USB connector capability for your cell phones, lap top computers and more. An HD TV in the living room and master bedroom. Also provided along with a stereo system, games, puzzles, magazines, and books. The kitchen is beautiful with quartz counter tops, and new track lighting at the breakfast bar and dining area. Also stocked with all the items you need to cook, like a crock pot, George Foreman grill, and electric griddle, emersion blender, and a blender to make your favorite drinks, coffee maker, toaster, and all. This will make your home away from home all that much more comfortable and enjoyable.

The master bedroom has a queen bed overlooking the ocean. The second bedroom has two twins, however we do have the equipmwnent to turn them into a king size bed so if that's something you would like, please let us know at time of reservation so we can prepare it for you! There is a sink in between the twin bedroom and hallway. Also, for extra sleeping, there is a deluxe air mattress to sleep up to 6.

The location of this place is truly unbeatable. Loved the view from the condo right out to the beach. We could see dolphins out playing in the waves. Magical. Management was super kind and communicative.

The location was excellent...right on the boardwalk and beach and so close to restaurants and a small market Condo was spotless but did not smell of disinfectant and the linens were scent free. Cathy gets an A+ for communications. Loved it!

This condo was the perfect location. Belmont to the left and the pier to the right. We had teenagers so it was perfect , close to everything. Not to mention the beautiful views from your private patio. The condo had anything and everything you could possibly need. I will definitely stay here again! Great location for a family of 4. Parking garage was clutch and access to the beach was amazing. Neighborhood was quiet even being right on the boardwalk during Memorial Day weekend. Cynthia was great answering questions and is nearby if you need anything. Worst part of the stay was the lack of sunshine 🙃

This trip was a true gift. My husband and I are Native Californians, myself a 5th generation, and ex San Diego locals. We were homesick after moving to PA, and wanted waves, views, quiet and ease. This was beyond what we expected, and are SO grateful for Cindy’s excellent advice, communication and assistance! She really went beyond for our comfort! We hope to return as regulars, as there was EVERYTHING one needs here! MAGIC!

Beautiful views, clean and accurate listing, Family would have preferred better toiletries (shampoo) but this did not impact our stay. Air conditioning unit is loud but is expected. This property had all our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) needed to enjoy a nice stay in Mission Beach. Beautiful views of the ocean and boardwalk from the patio and from the large picture window in the master bedroom. Kitchen was also well stocked. We had a minor issue with the lights and internet when we first arrived but Cindy was quick to help us fix it. The elevator was nice as well since we have young kids. There are a couple things to just be aware of if you are considering booking this rental. First, the outdoor patio/balcony feels small and cramped due to how many items the owner has stored out there (i.e. a grill, a table, four chairs, sand toys, bougie boards, etc.). With a larger patio this would not be an issue but since this patio is smaller, you may feel a little cramped out there. The owner should consider storing these items in the garage or elsewhere. Second, the tv set up for streaming is very rudimentary. You can only stream through the DVD player and that DVD player only has Netflix (i.e. no Amazon Prime or Disney Plus). Using the DVD player for streaming is also a very slow process. So, if you have young kids, I would recommend you bring your own streaming device to hook up (i.e. Apple TV or Roku). The owner should considering purchasing a streaming device for guests to use. These were ultimately very minor issues though and we would certainly stay here again and highly recommend this rental for young families.

Sunset Sands was fabulous! It was even better than we expected. Everything went smoothly! Communication was top notch! It was more than enough room for my family of 5 and right on the beach! Everything was well stocked and so organized! Perfect location and perfect place! We cannot wait to go back!!!

Our family enjoyed this location! The property was what was listed and it was really nice to have everything stocked for cleaning and cooking. The only recommendation I have would be to get rid of the old carpet. Being so close to the ocean left a musty/old smell that could be resolved by putting in tile. Thanks for a great place to stay!

We could not have been happier with our choice to stay here. What wonderful location and the access to the beach: divine! The condo itself was well-appointed, very comfortable and there were so many things in the condo we didn't expect, like a number of small kitchen appliances that could be used, extra beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. It was terrific! Check-in was a breeze and the instructions provided were ideal. The condo was super clean when we arrived and we felt right at home. We had one issue where we accidentally popped fuse when we had a few too many things plugged in between the front bedroom and the bathroom, but we just flipped the switch at the fuse box and had no other issues. Cindy was fantastic in getting back to us to help us find the fuse box, so it was an easy peasy fix. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat ... and am already trying to figure out when I can take my vacation next year!

This was the most amazing property!! We loves staying here for our family vacation. We drove in from Colorado and stayed for a week with our 2 year old. Being right on the beach and ocean front was dreamy!! The property is beautiful, and you can tell that the owners really love this space and take great care of it. We feel so lucky we found it! Great location, neat lots of restaurants. Loved the A/C unit in the master bedroom, would be perfect if they had one in the other bedroom. We loved the private porch and proximity to the beach. The condo had everything we needed, it was very well supplied! The location was amazing. Once we arrived we parked our car in the garage and walked everywhere. We used the chairs and towels provided at the beach and loved the balcony to people watch and to watch the dolphins!
