About this house rental
Our Beach Oasis is a comfortable, oceanside 5-bedroom home ideally located in the Whalehead Beach neighborhood of Corolla. Decks on both sides of the house offer sun as well as shade under the covered decks, especially for 4-footed family members as the house is dog-friendly for up to 2 dogs. You'll have the best of both worlds by being close to the beach access (850 feet) while enjoying a spacious pool area with a gazebo.

TOP LEVEL:
The Great Room includes the living area with a flat-screen TV and deck access, dining area (seats 10), kitchen with an island (seats 4). A King Jr. Master Suite has a semi-private full bathroom is on this floor. This bathroom also has access to the living area. There is a screened porch and a large sun deck with views to the north, east and south. [Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.]
MID LEVEL:
A King Jr. Master Suite has a flat-screen TV and its semi-private bath (shower/tub combo) is shared with a bedroom that has both a Bunk Bed Set and a single Twin bed. The Queen Master Suite on this level has deck access; its master bath has a large soaking tub and separate shower.
GROUND LEVEL:
A bedroom has a Queen bed and 2 Twin beds with a full bathroom (shower/tub combo) and the laundry area nearby. An extra fridge is available for storing groceries and beverages.
EXTRAS:
The private pool measures 12' x 26' (open May to mid-October) and a pool gazebo will provide shade on hot days. A park-style grill is available and don't forget, there is also a hot tub for the adults to enjoy. Families can enjoy spending time together by playing on the private volleyball court or shooting hoops into the basketball hoop in the front driveway.

Our stay was lovely.The completion of the previous occupants stay was completed by 2:30. We had a long drive, with a 12 month old but even though the cleaners had completed their process, we had to wait an additional hour plus, near to 4 pm, for approval to occupy. Although i know check in was at 4 , very sad there was not an okay to occupy. Besides that and the fact that the grill is worthless, we were very happy.

Location was perfect. Walking distance to everything. My family loved this home and felt it had everything we needed to enjoy our week! Our only challenge occurred at the beginning of the trip. Multiple communications listed our check-in time at 4pm. Since we were traveling from PA and wanted to get ahead of the traffic gertting to Corolla, we go into town around 11am and waited until 4pm. Arrived at home as another car was pulling in driveway. A women got out and was quite rude, sharing we could not get in the house as she just arrived to clean it and we needed to leave. My family was exhausted and just wanted to begin on packing but were forced to leave and drive around for another hour. Called property management and shared that 4pm is a rough estimate but that the contract said they had until 6pm to get the house clean. Beware that you may arrive at the check-in time and be told you can't get into the house...

The house was filthy. They did not sweep, vacuum or mop any of the floors. You could actually see stains from the previous renters. There was sand on the bedroom floor, dog hair in one of the bathrooms as well as the kitchen floor. When you entered the house it smelt like wet dog and got worse as you went up to each floor. I have a dog, our house doesn’t smell. The living room furniture smelled like wet dog, and desperately needs cleaning. The sheet & towels were clean and fresh however, the bed spreads, quilts etc. have not been washed in a while. They are certainly not washed after each renter. The house is run down, they need to put some money into it to make it look updated and modern.
The pool was not serviced. Although the pool says no diving it does not provide the depth and my brother injured himself.
I would avoid renting any house managed by Paramount Destinations. I complained and they did nothing about it. They told me they would speak to the cleaners. They should have sent someone over that day to vacuum & mop the floors as well as wash the bedspreads.
Corolla is a beautiful place, I would definitely visit again however, I would stay somewhere else.
