About this house rental
Rent this unique semi-earth house with private pool!
All 8 rooms are ensuite and all are equal sizes.
NO ONE sleeps on a foldout sofa!
UNIQUE ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN
The house itself is unique semi-earthhouse curved into the slope of an old olive grove. It is part of a perfect circle with walls of huge window from floors to ceilings. All to take in the surroundings.
COMMON LOUNGE/LIVING ROOM
In our lounge we have four hughes sofas, additional armchairs to make sure we all fit in. Just hang around, watch a film or read a book. A nice place to read your book sipping on your favourite tea.
Here is also three desk units if you need to sit well while catching up on your email - using your own computer.
COMMON DINING ROOM
Enjoy your meals at our big dining table (seats 18) or outside (seats 16) on the terrace.
TRAIN IN A 25 METER POOL OR IN A GYM WITH A VIEW
The pool is a 3 lanes 25 meter training pool. Easy to access using the large stair goin into the pool.
We have a gym, with a view looking out on the countryside. We don't have a set of machines, but plenty of yoga mats and some free weights and kettlebells.
YOUR GUESTROOM
The rooms are facing the garden and pool area and you enter the rooms from outside with your own entrance. Each room has a large double bed. If you let us know in advance, you can have a choice of 2 separate beds or 1 large bed unit with one big madras, for your comfort. Four bedrooms have two 90cm wide beds (180 together). Four bedrooms have two 100cm beds(2 meter together).
Each guestroom has its own bath(shower). We are using the natural coolness of the house being placed in the slope and each room has a fixed fan in the ceiling. In the house we use an air circulation unit but have chosen not to use air-condition since we don't like it.

THE SURROUNDINGS - VINEYARDS AND OLIVE GROVES
In this rural area with mainly grape and olive fields your eyes will rest on beautiful sceneries. In one direction you will see the mountains in the background and in the other the sea. Want to take walks in the area. Go ahead!
WE WILL PROVIDE A GUIDE FOR YOU TO LOCATE THE HIDDEN GEMS
When we are not running our house as hotel, we work with activity groups. This means that we know most of what to do in the area. From where to rent the best bikes, where to eat, what to see and what trekking route to choose.
It takes 10 minutes to drive to the east to the sea with sandy beaches. In less than an hour drive you reach the national park in the magnificant Majella mountain with a lot of hiking trails. There is waterpark close by, a golf course and lots of great restaurants.
ONE THIRD OF ABRUZZO IS NATIONAL PARKS!
There are plenty of things to do in the area. Biking, trekking, horseback riding, rafting, adventure parks, water park, seaside of course, golf course, sightseeing in close by villages/towns, the Sunday market in Casalbordino, all the great restaurants and agriturismos.
WE WILL SEND YOU TRAVEL DIRECTION
We recommend all our guests to go by car. There are buses, but they are NOT outside our entrance. We will send you direction and coordinates.

I have stayed at Ingrid and Pelle's outstanding property in the past and had dreamed of coming back ever since. I thought it was perfect before but with ongoing improvements it's even better now. Like I said the last time, I hope to return soon and in the meantime, I strongly recommend this home to anyone thinking of visiting Abruzzo - and in fact anywhere in Italy.

We stayed at Villalfonsina with 4 families with little children. Compared to other houses where we have visited in Italy, this one was the best by far. Kitchen area was well equipped to serve all our purposes. The table at the patio was really nice during dinners with spectacular views. The pool area is a dream come true for swimmers and children. There is a gym and yoga patio which are really nice for doing workouts during day. Host are really responsive and did give us valuable tips well ahead our arrival.

We were a group of twelve people on an active holiday in Abruzzo. Our days consisted of exploring the area and enjoying as much of what this beautiful region has to offer but the highlight for everyone in the group was the time we spent in Ingrid and Pelle's stunning home. Everything about it is so well thought out: there is an abundance of indoor and outdoor space and all the amenities (large pool, gym, ample laundry facilities, huge and well-equipped kitchen). Since the bedrooms do not communicate with the living areas, there is that extra element of privacy - and it is so lovely to wake up in the morning and open the bedroom door to the fresh country air. Two more things to add: the landscape is beautiful, with views of the rolling hills and the sea; and Ingrid and Pelle are lovely people, who took the time to show us around and share some tips. I hope to return soon and in the meantime, would strongly recommend this home to anyone thinking of visiting Abruzzo - and in fact anywhere in Italy.

We had an amazing week in this fantastic house and give our warmest recommendations about booking this house. Pelle and Ingrid gave us tips for things to experience in the local area, restaurants that were worth visiting and it was definitely a success. The rooms, the pool area and the rest of the house are definitely in the best standard. Five big stars from here - we will definitely visit the house again if we get the chance.
