Emerald Isle 202 is a two-bedroom, two-bath 2nd-floor beachfront condo! The classically furnished living space includes a cozy chair for curling up with a book with beach views, a tv, and a DVD player. The gulf view dining table seats 6 and there’s more seating at the eat-in bar. The open-concept kitchen has gorgeous cabinetry, granite countertops, and stainless appliances. The gorgeous master has a king-sized bed, floor-to-ceiling gulf views, flatscreen tv, and balcony access. You will love the master bath which sports a shower over a deep jetted tub. Overall, the condo and location was absolutely perfect! The unit we happened to stay in was also as advertised and had a beautiful ocean and pool view from a very spacious balcony. The unit was well maintained. With this condo, you’re within walking distance of most of the restaurants and pier. Here are my cons though because we did have a few issues:This condominium, at least during the off-season is not staffed with anybody in an “actual” lobby so check-in can be difficult, especially when the codes provided do not work the first time and you’re having to call or try to get it resolved through text message. The next problem is in the same vein and that is because there is not anybody in an actual lobby when the systems happen to go down which they did on our last night. No one could access the building and we had to have someone forcefully open the doors. The last con that I will say for this condominium in general is that it was not reported anywhere before booking that the condo was actually under major construction. More than half of the parking lot was blocked off and you could not drive through, so you would actually have to back up and drive back around to park. The main pool was also not available to swim the entire time for our stay, which was also not told to us till after the fact and if we would’ve canceled the booking, we wouldn’t have gotten money back so the timing of that notification seemed pretty interesting as it was not noted anywhere.

Incredible views of the ocean. Great location on the beach and close enough to walk to all the shops and restaurants. The codes I was provided for check-in didn't work. Check-in is 4 pm, that's also when the office closes, it wasn't easy or quick to get help as we arrived right at 4pm.

Overall everything was nice. It is an older building but it was very clean. The kitchen was nice and looked like it was updated recently . We enjoyed the views and direct beach access. My only complaints about the property are as follows:1. PBP sent too many texts with information, I definitely think it could be simplified. 2. The furniture in the living area was very uncomfortable. The master bed was very soft and It seemed to sink in the middle. 3. The televisions in the bedrooms, we could not get to work. This day and age I expected all the rooms to have smart tvs and we could log into our own accounts. The TV in the living area worked and we were finally able to get it on YoutubeTV. We watch a lot on ESPN app but could not on this TV. We watch a lot of sports that are not on regular TV. The TV itself was not user friendly. 4. It was kinda loud. Not people but random noises. They were working on the elevator so maybe that was some of the noise we heard. Despite these minor complaints we enjoyed our stay.

I'll start with what we liked which was the location and the second floor condo with beach access. The bedding was comfortable and all the rooms had ceiling fans. The best way to describe this property is DINGY. It looks like someone rushed to put it on VRBO. There are wires hanging out and in shambles (not contained) of all the TVs, one had a blue ray so didn't work with real TV. Old hard water stains on both bathroom fixtures, no counter space in hall bath but there's room for a cabinet or something. Broken glass frame on the wall with empty picture hooks hanging on the wall. Command hooks in the bathroom to hold towels. The stove knobs have all the heat settings and burner information rubbed off so it was difficult to know how hot and which burner you were using. That specifically, could be a fire hazard. This look is ok for family and friends just using your condo but if you are going to rent it out, it needs to be up to par. I would NOT stay there again. For what is being charged, it needs to look like someone spent some time thinking about the renters. The ONLY reason it got 3 stars was location. Dissappointed in the shabby appearance.
