The New Lake Boathouse

Loved waking up in the morning to our beautiful view. The bed was surprisingly big and very comfortable. Had all the mod cons we needed

My only suggestion is some written instructions on what tram to catch to places and perhaps a hard copy map to use.

Lovely and peaceful, nice to wake up in the morning and open the patio doors onto the river. Didn’t use the kitchen at all as we were eating out, but everything was there if you needed it.

Nothing

Everything was perfect, and we loved the tranquility. Sandra was such a lovely host. She left us gifts as we were on our honeymoon, and she even did us a favour and got us some kibbeling from a local fish shop on her shopping outing, as we asked her where she can suggest we get. For all future trips to Amsterdam, this will be our chosen accommodation without a doubt.

Nothing to complain about

It was a really cute little boat house, loved that it was right on the water. Just enough space for a couple or single person. The location wasn’t too far from Amsterdam, about 20min to attractions.

Parking wasn’t actually free. You had to pay about 20€ a day, which quickly adds up if you weren’t expecting the expense. The house is also attached to the owners main residence. They assumed we had checked out after sending a message to ask where to leave the key and actually walked in on us from a shared door - could’ve been really awkward if we weren’t decent or preoccupied.
