This cozy, two bedroom, two bath cabin which sleeps up to four people, comes fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing, peaceful and memorable vacation. The cabin is fully furnished, linens included, all kitchenware provided and offers lots of activities. Relax on the covered wrap-around porch, surf the internet, watch a DVD from the DVD library or catch your favorite streaming TV shows from the Roku devices on each LCD TV. Lounge in the outdoor Jacuzzi Hot Tub, read a book in the hammock (seasonal), enjoy a friendly game of horseshoes or make s'mores and tell stories around the fire pit.
There are plenty of local attractions to keep you busy when you go out for the day. Beautiful, quiet, cozy with everything you could need for escaping in the mountains for some R&R, while still having most all the comforts of home. Looking forward to my next opportunity to visit!

We love the wrap-around porch with the rockers and swiveling chairs--it was wonderful sitting to enjoy the birds and deer throughout our stay. We did stay on one end of the porch to avoid disturbing the bird nest activity--the baby birds had not yet flown out of the nest. We did not use the hot tub or the fire pit, but we used the grill for hot dogs and s'mores. There was plenty of rain during the first several days, but the last two days were very sunny and beautiful. We love the rhododendrons, beautiful trees, and ferns on the property! We chose the Lansing area, which is central to the activities we planned, most of which was to visit family cemeteries and distant family members living around the area. We did not do any hiking this trip, but we hope to the next time.

The hot tub was great.The kitchen was very nice. It was a beautiful cabin. The only issue was I wish that there was a door on the bedroom upstairs. You do not have enough privacy. Other than that it was a nice place to stay

Not sure how to review. Our stay was excellent and we loved the cabin. Has everything you need to enjoy a weekend away. We had already started thinking about returning next year. Then we got home and received an email that we were being fined for leaving dog poop around the property without having permission to have a dog - we do not own a dog, and certainly didn’t have one with us. When I informed the host of this, they then claimed we broke a paper towel holder. We followed all of their check-out directions and left the house the same way we left it; we did not break anything or bring a dog. I’m hoping this is an isolated incident, as the majority of the other reviews are positive. We are normal people who respect the property of others. On a positive note, we enjoyed seeing the deer every morning. A short drive into West Jefferson got us a lovely lunch at Sweet and Savory, which I highly recommend. There is also a beautiful children’s library if you have little ones. Downtown Lansing was hit hard by Helene, but the Molly Chomper Cidery is fantastic. We also recommend the amazing public playground in Blowing Rock.
