About this cabin rental
Riverwood Retreat is a secluded cabin that sits atop a 300 foot cliff overlooking a horseshoe bend in the New River with breathtaking long range views. Inside, the cabin comfortably accommodates four people with a King Bedroom and attached full bath and a Queen bedroom with an adjacent full bath. The cabin will allow for up to eight people total with a pull-out sofa bed and futon in the living area. The cabin has a large living area with a gas fireplace, full kitchen and washer and dryer. Wi-Fi, Cable TV, Blu-Ray/DVD player and Bluetooth Stereo are all provided.
Outside, enjoy the large wrap around deck, listen to the river rapids from below and experience views from the hot tub that you will never forget. A gas and charcoal grill is provided along with propane and grilling utensils. Access to the New River allows for easy swimming, tubing, fishing and kayaking. Up above the cabin is a fire pit and firewood.
You will feel a thousand miles away from it all but still only fifteen minutes from downtown West Jefferson with its welcoming small-town atmosphere, multiple shops, restaurants and bars, and multiple grocery stores nearby. Less than one hour from Boone.

Everything as advertised. The home interior was well maintained, clean, everything functional, and well stocked. Only 2 humans on this trip but the place is plenty big enough for a family of 4 and a dog. The outdoor space provided the real "wow". The porch, grill, fire pit, and amazing hot tub were all ideal. And the view... the view down into the river valley and across the rolling mountains was just beyond words. A cabin. Thanks for having us!

The cabin setting was magical, perched on a ledge overlooking the river. Sunsets from the deck (and the hot tub) were spectacular. The cabin itself was beautiful as well. Access to the cabin was easy and the location (less than 20 minutes from the very cute town of West Jefferson and 30 minutes from hiking at Grayson Highlands State Park) was perfect for us. Our host, Brian, was on top of things, quickly answering my last minute questions. We will definitely return.

This cabin is appointed with just everything you need to enjoy a short or long stay. Cozy fireplace, amazing views from the deck, and a perfect size.
