About this house rental
This architect-designed compound is serenely tucked away among seven acres of rolling fields and meadows in prestigious Oyster Pond. There are sleekly-styled modern touches throughout the classic cape both inside and out, plus access to a private ocean beach, in addition to the pool and hot tub. one of the few homes on Martha’sVineyard with private pickleball court.
The open Living and Dining areas have a wall of south-facing glass doors and windows, that open out to a large fieldstone patio and the pool area. A large stone fireplace frames the Living area, while a floating stairway provides separation with the Dining area.
A true Chef's Kitchen anchors the open space, with a stunning granite and stainless steel cooking island, breakfast bar, and top-of-the-line appliances.
A vaulted ceiling hallway connects to a second living and entertaining area with fireplace. There are two Master Bedroom suites on the second floor at each end of the house. Both suites have full baths --both with walk-in showers and one with whirlpool -- , and sweeping meadow and pool views.
There is an additional twin bedded Bedroom and a bathroom and shower as well as an office on the first floor. On the lower level is an entertainment area with a competition pool table, plus a Family/TV Room with xbox video games. Washer and dryer in laundry room. Wi-fi throughout and cable tv with all streaming services on four TVs.
The Guest suite in barn has its own, separate, woodside location. The second floor Bedroom suite has vaulted ceilings and beams, and full bath with shower. small fridge and coffee supplies for guests. Wifi here too.
The heated gunite pool is 20 x 40-feet with a fieldstone surround, and poolside lounge area. In addition to the large fieldstone patio at the main house, there is an Pergola shaded deck with comfortable seating and hot tub. Outdoor shower is next to hot tub.
Behind 7 acres are hiking trails in State forest. Bike path access at end of Oyster Pond Road.
Included with the rental is the use of the owner's 2 kayaks and stand up paddle board and Boston Whaler to cross Oyster Pond to a private, sandy south shore, ocean beach (used by Presidents Clinton and Obama in past summers.) Outdoor and indoor games galore to entertain. Crocquet, Soccer goal, badminton, and lots of books for summer reading.. One week minimum rental,

Our group agrees that we have rarely had a more relaxing vacation and that this was attributable to this amazing home and property. I am almost reluctant to write a review as we wish this gem could remain a secret. The quiet in the night is refreshing while still being close to Edgartown and other "bustling" parts of the island. The swimming pool at the home was lovely.
Unrelated to the house, we had dinner at Hooked and Atria and loved them both. Not much more to say as this is a great place and Martha's Vineyard is a wonderful vacation.
