We have stayed here before. Staff are always great and there’s a good atmosphere in the pub. Food is good and the room is clean. Beds comfortable

It was all very good.

We made a late booking here as we needed somewhere to stay in Appleby. We needed to leave our cases first thing in the morning and the staff were very accommodating; when we returned in the evening our cases were waiting in our room. We had a good evening meal and a very comfortable night right in the centre of Appleby. We couldn't have asked for more!
Nothing.

Very nice stop for a quick stay on our way to Scotland
The rooms are fully carpeted so it can get quite hot in summers.
