Made to feel very welcome, food tasty and good quality.
Provided an extra free standing Heater in the bedroom, which was needed ,as temperature -5 while we were there.
Lovely smelling toiletries, and comfy bed.
Even provided small iron and ironing board in your room, if needed.

It was quaint and a nice location. Staff were very friendly and even called me to tell me the time the kitchen closed as the weather was bad and I was delayed. Breakfast was lovely.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable as it was a single trundle bed so not loads of support.

I have stayed here numerous times travelling for work and always have an exceptional experience.
As a woman travelling alone i have always felt incredibly safe and not at all uncomfortable eating alone.
I would highly recommend and will be booking a weekend away here with my husband it is so nice.
The wifi is a little weak, however, the building is of old construction and has solid walls. I got around this by piggy-backing off my phone to my laptop.
However, this would not be an issue if staying for recreation. In fact, it would be welcomed!

Beautiful hidden village and surrounding areas.
Shower was a bit temperamental, going hot and cold.

We stayed in a deluxe room and it was so much nicer than the booking.com pictures. Lovely spacious well decorated room and bathroom. Water bottles provided and replenished each morning. A hearty breakfast provided. Very welcoming to dogs and we were allowed to bring our dog into the dining room for breakfast which was great. On street parking, but it is plentiful.
Shower was a little weak.

Clean, plenty of hanging space, good big towels, greet choice for breakfast, lovely staff. Old world charm.
Shower but small and had to step up to it. Room quite small. No room for suitcases- had to put in big bathroom.

Great location in the lake district with friendly staff.
The fact I could get a packed lunch in place of my breakfast as i had to leave each day before breakfast was nice.
The meal I had in the restaraunt was nice and there was a good selection of real ale.
The mattress on the bed had a sag/soft spot on one side so it felt like i was on a slope.
The bathroom was pretty small and a bit awkward to get to the sink and access towels on the radiator.
The bathroom fan was pretty loud and came on even when not using the shower.
The floor was uneven under the carpet in the bedroom

This is a lovely pub in a lovely village. Lovely food, lovely rooms. It's really nice and well priced.
The breakfast is too late for people travelling for work. I stayed a few times, but ultimately I had to change to use other hotels with earlier breakfasts.

A thriving Pub/Hotel with owners and staff to match. Broughton is a hidden gem. Food excellent and available all day. Rooms light and airy, more like a small Manor House than Pub. Really great place to stay, with thanks particularly to Lorna and Darren, not forgetting all others such as Bren and Scarlett😀
The rain needed turning down a bit.

A warm welcome, very good breakfasts and a nice beer garden. My room was a delight with well-stocked hospitality tray and the shower-room was clean, bright and had a lovely range of toiletries. Broughton is a special place with a lovely park for walking my dog.
Nothing at all.
