Delightful stay in a carming, convenient apartment

A charming, big, sunny apartment with two bedrooms, full kitchen and dining area. The bathroom was very good. The street is quiet and pretty. It is just off the main pedestrian street and a five minute walk from most of the major sites. The manager also manages the Cafe Quenens around the corner. She is terrific and full of information. The cafe is great and has a lovely rose garden in the back with tables. Breakfast at the cafe is include and was very good.

Charming accommodation in the heart of Ribe

The accommodation is centrally located and the design of the accommodation is lovely. The communication with the friendly owner was uncomplicated, making the check-in/check-out very easy. The accommodation, including the kitchen, was tidy and equipped with everything we needed. We'd love to come back!

The accommodation is quite noisy, so you can hear conversations from outside and what's going on in the adjacent rooms. But that didn't bother us too much.

A glimpse of historic Danish life

I felt as if I was living Danish life for a couple of days, not just peeking into it through a window. The house is adorable, on a perfect street of medieval homes, and the unit has a truly lovely and thoughtful decor, and so many little touches. My children were very much at home, and never wanted to leave the apartment. Because the unit is located a few houses away from the museums that we wanted to visit, it was easy to gather the kids up to go do something, and easy to return home between outings. The lady who rents out the unit has an incredibly nice Cafe down the road. We ate cake there twice and lunch another day. The staff are sweet and helpful. They speak Danish, German and/or English. Anyway enough rambling on, it's beautiful, clean, perfectly located, has everything a family needs... You'll love beautiful Ribe. Full of history, I learned so much.

Spacious in unbeatable location. A little noisy, but great for young couples and short stays.

Located in busy, lively area of old town within easy walking distance to everything. Easy check-in at local café owned by apartment proprietor. Spacious multi-room apartment with space to layout luggage and still maneuver around. Place to hang clothes. Great WIFI allowing easy upload of hundreds of pictures and stream movie simultaneously. Ample electrical outlets for charging. Great shower water pressure and temperature. Parking pass allowed free parking in all public zones, which can be found within easy walking distance. Great hot and cold breakfast served at café for reasonable price. Great communication with host throughout.

Noise here can be an issue. This apartment complex is on a busy street in the historic district and the entrance of the apartment is just outside the entrance to the building, and therefore you can here everyone entering and exiting. All windows including bedroom windows face busy pedestrian zone with significant noise until late evening. Easily hear other guests in upper apartments. No shower amenities provided and cleanliness of shower less than optimal.

Great location, value, and charm in Ribe!

The apartment was cozy, comfortable, well decorated, and could not be in a better location to explore Ribe. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Wonderful little hidden gem

The location is more than amazing in the medieval city center. Its nicely decorated with a touch of humor that makes you really feel at home away. From a nutcracker of Hilary Clinton to a fantastic bust of what must be an german emperor or general (I am really jalous of this) and colors everywere that makes you happy. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was like the size of a cathedral and we can really recommend this beautiful little hidden gem. We checked-in at the café on the corner and ate our lunch there as well. It was really smooth and the staff were sweet and serviceminded. We stayed at the apartment on the ground floor against the street (se picture). We will be back for sure

Maybe just a small note in the apartment about if you are allowed to use the pretty little courtyard behind the building. Just a detail and nothing negative at all.

we had our flight cancelled and had to leave a day earlier. Booking.com would not refund they passed this on to the property owners. The Property owners told us it was Booking.com who had to refund. So bad luck customers.

Worst place ever we have stayed at

OK’ish breakfast, a bit on the small side, still hungry after - but a nice and cosy cafe. For DKK 75,- it was to small a plate of food per person

Didn’t get the room we booked. So no kitchen and living room as on the photos. And it WAS available. Maybe the cleaning was before Corona - dust overall - feces on the toilet, not cleaned at all. Smells of “old people” also in the rooms. Windows very poor, not possible to close all, the roller blinds not long enough to cover the window, the blinds itself are so transparent that you don’t get any darkness at all. Very close to the apartment there is many crows etc, that barks all day and night. If it wasn’t enough, there is a door with a window above it, where there where full lights on, so our room was lidt up also ! And the surrounding apartments made a lot of noise also. It was almost impossible to sleep… Not a place for tranquility or peace for sure. For parking, if you bring a car, it is seriously almost impossible to find anything near, we where lucky, but had to wait half an hour to find a place near the church, 150m away. But be assured it will be very difficult in high season to find any spot in the city… Stay away from the apartment to the garden side, we have never stayed a worse place, and we have seen a lot in many countries.

Perfect location & comfortable flat

Perfect location right in the city centre, though (fortunately) not the busiest street. Close to the parking area and the café where we picked up the key - and close to everything else. Spacious flat with the kitchen facilities we needed, fridge with freezer box, shower, toilet, hairdryer, comfortable beds and proper curtains. The decor seemed personal and made us feel at home. We'd like to stay here again.

Die Lage ist fantastisch, die Wohnung war gemütlich, warm und sauber. Lise ist eine tolle Gastfreund ein sehr herzlicher Mensch. Das Frühstück im Café und die Ecke war super lecker! Wir kommen wieder. ❤️

Den sødeste husvært Lise og personale på hendes smukke cafe Quedens , der lå lige rundt om hjørnet. Lejligheden lå fantastisk centralt og var utrolig spændende, finurlig og helt unik. Det var en super skøn oplevelse, som vi på det varmeste kan anbefale

Super Lage mit Luft nach oben...

Die Lage in Ribe ist einfach genial: alles ist schnell fußläufig erreichbar. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die wunderschönen Klänge der Domkirche zu gewissen Zeiten. Aber auch die Nähe (30 min) zu der Insel Röm ist einfach Klasse!

Das Appartement wirkte ein wenig wie für hippe Studenten gemacht, die auf Retro-Kunst stehen. Für Personen mit mehr Geschmack bzw. Stil könnte der Preisvergleich möglicherweise in Frage gestellt werden.
