We love coming to Bend and have stayed at various units at Mount Bachelor Village. My family and I come almost every year for a mountain bike race. My husband had to rearrange his work schedule and try to find people to cover for him, so the decision to make this trip was not planned as early as I would have liked, and this was the only unit available at Mount Bachelor Village. The bike race starts and ends at Mount Bachelor Village so location is key. My kids love to swim in the pool while we wait for the end of the race. However, this unit did not have a pool key or pool towels, so everytime we would have to ask the front desk to let us into the pool. Luckily, we brought our own towels for paddleboarding on the river. It was a good thing we did not make food in the kitchen because the drawers with the silverware and utensils were very dirty! Management needs to take a look and clean all the drawers. In addition, Management should make sure all the soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers are full before guests arrive. All of them were just about empty and we needed to go out and buy all of that. Communication with the host was good as long as it was working business hours. I tried messaging after business hours because we were having problems with check-in and there was no response. On the positive, the unit did have an AC unit which was appreciated! Overall, this unit needs work and better management, but it did serve it's purpose (a place to sleep near race)
