The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located. It is approximately 25 minutes by bus from Amsterdam Central Station, while still being situated in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood. Some rooms offer a lovely view of the water. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

I rated the hotel 9/10 due to a few issues we encountered. As the first night was marked as a "no-show" (after KLM canceled our flight and rescheduled us for the following day), this situation led to some complications with the invoice. Additionally, I requested a bed sheet change in one of our rooms (we booked two triple rooms for six people over four nights), but this request was not carried out. Aside from these minor inconveniences, we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel.

The location by the water was lovely and the breakfast options were good.

Some staff were not very polite. We had a negative interaction with a staff member at breakfast who raised her voice at us for sitting at a table she hadn't cleared away. It was humiliating as she told us to move elsewhere and that there were 'plenty of other tables to choose from'. We chose that table because it was by the window with a lovely view and we were very happy to patiently wait until it was cleared away. We walked away and it was cleared before we found another table so we asked her if it was ok for us to sit there now and she rolled her eyes and motioned with her hand saying, 'whatever'. The hand soap in the bathroom was filled with water and when trying to wash out hands, were unable to get enough soap so had to use the shower soap. For a 4 star hotel, I expect better service and to at least have soap. Lastly, we ordered dinner at the bar and asked if we could sit upstairs where it was warm. We were told we could sit upstairs but needed to carry our own food up there and bring every single plate and cup and utensil back to the bar when we were finished. We did this but expected more again from a 4 star hotel.
