About this cottage rental
Cottage on 5h plot by Causse de Martel, near Dordogne + sites such as Padirac, Sarlat. Lots of character: washhouse, baker’s oven, 19th century barn + dry stone walls. All mod-cons, quality décor. Renovations respect the environment (natural products + treatments, locally sourced materials). Relax with nature, gdns, terrace, hammam, gym. Footpaths to discover Causse. Bikes available. Bread baking. Horses. Tiled, heated pool (12.5mx5m) in keeping with surroundings (overflow, stone wall, submerged beach, pergola w/ chairs + loungers). Salt electrolysis system (no chlorine), good quality filtration. Electronic cover for safety. Shared with the owners. Site available in spring and autumn when cottage gardens are particularly pleasant. Small gardens + orchards guarantee peace + quiet. Off-peak short stays can be arranged, short weeks (Mon–Fri) or weekends (Fri-Sun). For hygiene, beds have quilts, sheets are provided, beds made on your arrival. Open fire in winter. Bookcase, board games.

Everything was perfect, except the house information hadn’t made clear that the swimming pool wasn’t available in the winter. This was disappointing given it was the reason we’d picked the house. Probably a lesson for us to double check but would be good to make that clear in the information.

This property was better than we expected, it was in an ideal loaction and gave us ample room for everyone.
Every room had its own shower and ghey were done with great style and attention.
There was more than ample room for anyone wanting peace and quiet.
You had a choice of out door seating but our favourite was the front under the vine.
The pool was fantastic as well.
If you are looking for a 5 star place to stay, this is it. The host was fantastic and his fig chutney is to die for.
Will definitely dray again.

louée à la Toussaint, la maison s'est révélée cosy et confortable et l'accueil du propriétaire attentif et sympathique; un chemin passant devant la maison permet une jolie randonnée; la situation de la maison est idéale pour visiter le Lot.

La maison est propre et fonctionnelle, les environs à visiter magnifiques.
Les propriétaires sont très charmants et accueillants mais l’annonce ne précise que leur maison est collée et que la piscine est de leur côté, du coup on se baigne devant eux pendant leurs repas, et des membres de leur famille viennent parfois se baigner avec vous. A vu du prix (excessif par rapport à ce qu’on trouve dans la région) nous ne nous attendions pas à cela.
