Pirgaki Studios

Our second time staying here (1st in Sept 24) and just as good as before, if not better, as a slightly noisy water pump outside has now been replaced by a silent one. A call to host, Rania, just to say we were in Kardimyli earlier than expected resulted in an invitation to check in early, which was very welcome and meant we could head straight to the beach, after dropping off our bags.. It's a clean and spacious house with 2 loos, one on each floor, everything you need to self cater plus a shady patio for a cool retreat. A change of linen and a clean mid-week plus the homemade jam were appreciated. There are 3 supermarkets close by, a great choice of restaurants within easy walking distance and it's a 5 min stroll to the small, pebbly beach by the jetty for a cooling late afternoon swim. We walked up into the hills behind the village everyday using the ANAVASI map and the Sunflower book as our guide. It is well worth seeking these out before you go , if walking is your thing, meaning you can make up your own itinerary. The location, in the quiet of the old town is a welcome contrast to the quite busy main road but it is an unspoilt, lovely area to visit and Pirgaki Studios makes a great base to explore from. We didn't use the KTEL buses as the times were generally too early or too late for us. It is basically a local service to Kalamata and around, not a tourist oriented one.

Beliggenheten var for meg utmerket. Plassert nær sentrum, men uten trafikk. "Godlyder" fra bakgårdene, hyggelig samtaler, katter og fugler.Greie rom, fin uteplass. Kjøkken med god spiseplass. Bra oppfølging av renhold underveis i oppholdet.

Struttura pulitissima, spaziosa e funzionale (abbiamo apprezzato molto la presenza del secondo bagno), situata in una posizione perfetta, a pochi passi dal mare e nel cuore di Kardamyli, vicino a supermarket, farmacia e taverne. Nessun problema di parcheggio. La signora Ourania è una persona fantastica che ci ha fatti sentire a casa: è stata molto disponibile in ogni momento della vacanza, dandoci un concreto aiuto logistico anche quando abbiamo avuto un serio problema di salute. Il suo calore e quello degli abitanti di Kardamyli hanno reso ancora più bella la nostra vacanza. Torneremo di sicuro!

The property is set over two floors with plenty of room. The downstairs has a large kitchen area with plenty of facilities including a downstairs shower and toilet. The upstairs contained two large single beds and a bathroom. There is ample amount of storage too which was perfect for me! Theres also AC upstairs which was ideal considering it was 34 outside everyday. Theres also a fairly big courtyard to enjoy however I didn’t make much use of this as I was attending a wedding. The apartment is literally 60 seconds from the main square and was a 2 minute walk to the sea which was super helpful when I wanted to cool off from the heat. The host was very friendly and left me to enjoy my stay however I knew if needed her I only needed to knock.

For me this property was perfect. However I could see having more than 2-3 people it would be easy to get on top of each other upstairs however downstairs there’s ample room. Although there’a AC upstairs it doesn’t reach downstairs so it was better to spend my time upstairs unless I showered.
