Great location in the old town, very friendly hostess. Local specialties, a family-style breakfast. Cyclist-friendly. Lovely room with views of the fortress.

Narrow staircase to the top floors may be difficult for some (but also charming).

Charming pension near church, clean rooms, good breakfast

In old town center, easy parking, owner super nice. Good breakfast and lively conversation with owner we used google translate a lot. Our room was right across from the church steeple so bells on every hour. No elevator: Not an issue for us and owner offered to carry our luggage. Property initially was a little hard to find but if you approach it from the parking in front of the church off the main road it is to the left of the church, next to an Italian restaurant. Views from our room amazing. Price-value for room was reasonable for the area. Host friendliness and location for walkability in town worth another stay.

There was a line of flashing lights decor on our balcony we didn’t know how to turn off. At night it was a little distracting, but we just closed the blind and it was ok.

We were able to access the property at 5.30pm which was earlier than advertised. The host was lovely - we are not able to speak French, so the host used her google translator to explain everything to us. There is a communal sitting room available on the first floor where guests to can help themselves to unlimited tea and coffee. Breakfast was provided from local products and we were offered cooked eggs and ham. The host also booked a reservation for us at the restaurant next door, which we would highly recommend. The room was a nice size with a small balcony overlooking the church and the opposite window where the citadel could be seen. There is a stand up fan in the room if needed. The accommodation if very close to the town and car parking.

There is nothing that we would want to change.

The spiral staircase was quite narrow , but our hostess had warned us about this . My husband who is elderly found climbing the stairs a little difficult !

Excellent place to stay near the Alps

This place was the perfect place to stay in Sisteron. The host is very reasonable and conversant, and was very tolerant of my attempts to communicate with her with minimal French on hand. She was also very knowledgable regarding nearby attractions, so if you visit in the low season, she'll still be able to direct you to some place to see or something to do. The breakfasts each morning were very high quality, very filling, and there's a break room you can access for tea or coffee during the day. The view out the window on any floor is gorgeous, and the sky light in the bathroom on the top floor is a nice feature. There's wireless internet access, so you can use that to keep up with people if you're in from overseas. My bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was very warm even heading into late fall. This place is also in the midst of all the business activity in Sisteron. So if you want to get a meal, walk through the fortress, stop in a pharmacy, everything is about a five minute walk away. The property is right by a church, and you can park a rental car there if there's a free space (on most, but not all, days); if you have an electric car, there's charging spaces within walking distance. If you are going car-free, it's only about 10-15 minutes from the train station to Gap and Aix en Provence. Just make sure you let the owner know if you are coming in late.

I greatly enjoyed the stay, and would unreservedly reccomend it, I would suggest anyone with leg injuries carefully consider a stay as stairs must be used. Although you probably shouldn't visit the Alps in the first place if that's an issue, it's all a bit uphill...

The room was amazing with a view to the medieval castle! The host was super friendly and the breakfast was absolutely lovely with tones of local and homemade food!

There are steep stairs to reach the room, so it can be difficult for older people or people with minimized mobility.

Fantastic location with an extremely hospitable host

An amazing location alongside the cathedral in the heart of Sisteron. Attentive and kind host who looked after us in her character full home. Make sure you're hungry for superb breakfast with locally sourced produce and amazing homemade cakes. We even got sent off with a goody bag. The views from the bedroom and our balcony were stunning.

Check-in time (No sooner than 6PM) is a bit late, Check-out time (No later than 10 AM) was a bit early. But our Host nicely let us overlap a little bit.

Fairytale "get-away"

Beautiful cozy little B&B with only 2 rooms, both rooms decorated with taste and class, "fleur" and "coeur", both decorated per their namesakes, very special. We had Fleur which had it's own balcony overlooking the cathedral, picture perfect. Considering it was such an old building, room and bathroom were modern and Air Conditioning and wifi A+. Location was perfect, walking distance everywhere, including the Citadel. Breakfast excellent and all local homemade products by our host. Cannot say enough of Brigitte's warm hospitality.

Lovely private room with view over the castle

Brigitte managed to accommodate us with early arrival as we needed to change before a wedding we were going. She even offered to iron a short for us as we were getting ready. She had the room at a perfect temperature when we arrived ( it was 30+ degrees outside) The room itself is very comfy and private. The bed is very comfy as well. The bathroom is a door away and has all the amenities. Finally we had some apple tart, delicious ☺️

A little gem in the beautiful town of Sisteron

The lovely lady who run this fabulous hotel was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. We had cake & pastries and a carafe of ice cold water on arrival. The breakfast was out of this world and local products too. On leaving I was given a rose soap which I will treasure. Little touches like that make wonderful memories.

Une chambre confortable, localisée au cœur de la vieille ville de Sisteron, avec une vue magnifique sur la citadelle. Un salon et une terrasse accessibles aux hôtes, avec une vue encore plus exceptionnelle, où savourer un apéritif ou une infusion ... Du savon naturel au bon parfum de lavande locale à disposition dans la salle de bain. Un petit déjeuner abondant, varié, à base de produits locaux et faits maison. Un accueil sympathiqur, attentionné et de très grande qualité. Bref une étape que nous recommandons sans hésitation.

Tout était très bien

Jolie chambre bien décorée dans une maison fraîchement rénovée. Au cœur du village en face de la cathédrale. A deux pas de la citadelle. La terrasse à l'étage est bien sympa pour contempler la citadelle illuminée la nuit en buvant une tisane. Le petit déjeuner est extra avec des produits locaux. Les restaurants tout proches sont vraiment très bien. C'est une adresse à recommander sans hésiter.

Un peu cher en terme de rapport qualité prix, au vu de ce que nous avons pu avoir lors de nos étapes sur la route des vacances. (Jolie chambre mais 3 ème étage avec clim bruyante Neanmoins, Brigitte est une formidable hôte, qui a été bien au delà de ce que l'on attend, très serviable, adorable, avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Le petit déjeuner est génial.

Rien de grave, mais pour faire avancer les choses, je dirai la clim un peu bruyante et peu efficace
