About this house rental
Charming, newly renovated 2,000 sq ft lake home in the peaceful Point of Pines neighborhood. Just a short walk down the yard takes you to the water, where you’ll enjoy a private boathouse with two slips and easy access via the neighborhood boat ramp. Spend the day fishing, swimming, or relaxing by the dock, then gather around the fire pit or watch sunsets over the lake. Only minutes from town, this quiet retreat blends lakefront fun with modern comfort.
– The Property –
The home comfortably sleeps a crowd with four bedrooms and plenty of space to relax:
- Bedroom 1: King bed, peaceful lake views, and private half-bath
- Bedroom 2: King bed with water views
- Bedroom 3: King bed
- Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): Two twin beds + two twin trundles — perfect for kids or extra guests. (Note: this room is only accessible via the sliding glass doors on the back patio; there are no interior stairs.)

➤ Bathroom 2: Private water closet, oversized soaking tub, and a luxurious tiled shower with dual shower heads, handheld sprayer, and body jets

Guests have access to the entire property, including both slips in the private boathouse — perfect for keeping your boat safe and dry during your stay. The only off-limits area is a locked supply closet.
We also offer three high-quality sit-on-top kayaks available to rent for just $100 flat for your entire stay (that’s for all three). Just let us know if you’d like to add them to your visit!
(The small rental fee is the only way we’ve found to keep offering them long-term. When they were simply left open for everyone, we had issues with some guests abusing them, leaving them out, and losing paddles. Renting them separately helps make sure they’re used by guests who actually want them and will take care of them, while keeping the price reasonable for those who do.)
Feel free to check the lake levels ahead of your trip — just search “Lake Guntersville lake levels” and look for the TVA link. A level of 595 ft typically means about 4 feet of water in the boathouse. The lake is a living, changing environment, and the experience at the water can vary depending on water level, weeds, or debris. TVA treats the area regularly, and we also hire a local crew to clean and clear it at the start of summer.
Grocery Tip: The local Publix delivers right to the front door, so no need to haul groceries if you prefer to have them brought in.
We have installed a Level 2 EV Charger. It is a J1772 connector and also has a Tesla (NACS) adapter and charges up to 48A.

We had a lovely time staying in this home with our adult children. It was peaceful and comfortable with easy access to the lake. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the hosts were communicative and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Property was as advertised. Great spot to relax. Very quiet and peaceful with plenty of yard to feel plenty of space from neighbors. Very well stocked kitchen and beds were very comfortable. Great stay.

Keepin' It Reel provided a nice place for my family to meet to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.
Positives: The hosts let us check in early as the house was cleaned the day before. There was a well-stocked kitchen with good quality cookware--even cast-iron pans. The bathrooms were nice and had amazing showers. Three of the bedrooms were good. The beds were a bit soft, but not bad for a vacation home. Unfortunately, there were also some negatives about this vacation home which detracted from an enjoyable holiday. The downstairs bedroom was very musty smelling. Due to the musty smell, we could not sleep there. I had to concoct a bed out of comforters because my son's allergies would not tolerate the downstairs. We attempted to use the sleeper sofa in the living room, but the bed's frame appeared to be broken on one side, and the mattress would have been very uncomfortable anyways. In addition, the couch needs to be replaced. It was worn out and had no support left.
**The online listing was accurate except for the mustiness and the couch's comfort.
