Great except towels...

The room had a bathtub, which was a good surprise as it wasn't in the photos of our booking. Same goes to a small fridge, which was super handy for our needs this time. A bigger fridge, cutlery and plates were also available on the ground floor where there are also a coffee machine (out of service during our stay though) and the automated check in machine.

Towels smelled bad... They were washed but the smell was not really okay which was pretty because many other things were nice in this hotel.

Fantastic central stay in a wonderful city

Room was exactly as advertised. The shower and bathroom was clean and stylish, with great water pressure. The bed was firm (positive for me) and held up to a fantastic nights sleep. Location was excellent, although Rotterdam is small so there's a vast area of perfect locations. Getting a bonus discount at the local breakfast place was fantastic too.

A slight issue with access to entrance on the penultimate night. This was resolved quickly and efficiently so really appreciated the staff help with this

Edgy narrative meets irritating tech in an upscale hostel

Outdated check in instructions on the website led to the worst check in experience ever - forced to wait outside of other hotel, waiting for staff to give you card. Kind strangers helped us call a number because for some reason our phones couldn't (something to do with calling via 5g/4g network, just beware that even with paid roaming in the city center your phone still can fail to dial any number). Turned out you don't need to come to this hotel anymore, and can get the card at self service kiosk in Unplugged hotel, opening an entrance door from web dashboard beforehand. WiFi password is accessible exclusively via TV, and when we checked in it was turned off, so we spent a few more grueling minutes looking for it. But they do have printed instruction on the wall for connecting to a sound system. Room is tiny and is uncomfortable with two people living. All walls in bathroom are clear glass, including the ones around a toilet. After taking hot shower it become apparent that ventilation is broken.

Hotel Unhinged (in a good way)

The hotel is not far from the main station, and also close to shops and restaurants and right beside a tram and metro stop. The hotel has a great triple room which our son loved and there was plenty of space for all our clutter. The staff were friendly and it was great to have a lift from the reception. The shower was powerful and the beds were comfortable. We liked this place a lot. My son called it Hotel Unhinged and the name has stuck with us.

The only issues we identified were: steep steps from outside to reception. Bathroom door is made of frosted glass and not very private (although it was round a corner from the living space so it wasn't a big issue). No decaff coffee in reception. The bunk bed has rather large gaps and it looks possible for a small child to roll through them.

Access to a kitchen, including fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Very well designed room. Great location to walk to Rotterdam's interesting features.

Netflix wouldn't work with our account (not the hotel's fault). Disney + did though.

Comfortable stay, great location and good value in comparison to other hotels.

Fab location and the early check in was greatly appreciated.

Plugged in to Unplugged

Room was minimalistic, liked the color scheme and the very large bed and private bathroom. Entry into the hotel was easy with key card, even at late night. Tea and coffee options available. Tv that connects to streaming options and room service refreshing daily.

Hotel was right next to a student space and there was one night of late morning partying (but I think school was starting back).

Quirky - Clean - Central hotel

Loved the room. Bed was fine and the coffee facility's were great. Overall really satisfied. Check-in was easy and clear.

Could have been cleaned a little bit better. Saw a hair in the windowsill and one on the ground in the bathroom. Also the toiletpaper was missing, but this was solved very quick.

Great Location in the city of Rotterdam that offers comfortabilty and the opportunity to move around!

The room itself is absolutely great. The location in Rotterdam is very good! Tons of great options for shopping, dinner, drinks all around. Right next to the dildo gnome too!

At late times, there are some unsavory characters around. Not the fault of the hotel and they have security that makes rounds. I was worried at first, but it was fine. Had to check in down the street at Hotel Emma.

Decent

Location was great, there is an elevator to get to the upper floors which was great. There is a small kitchen/coffee room available for use as well.

I had another guest come into my room when I was napping saying it was their room now. The front desk didnt show that I had checked into that room earlier and gave keys to my room to another guest accidentally. Very awkward situation to be in for guests. The stairs to get into the building are steep and awkward to get up with luggage.

Not great

Fun coloured interior

For a room originally priced at over €400 (discounted to €300), this stay was an absolute disappointment, probably the worst experience I’ve ever had through Booking.com. • The hairdryer was sticky and dirty with hair stuck to it (thankfully replaced by reception). • No dimmer switch — the lighting was harsh and far too bright. • Barely any storage; I was forced to live out of my bag. • No full-length mirror to check outfits. • Only shampoo provided, no conditioner. • No view whatsoever — just a tiny window high up near the ceiling, making the room feel incredibly claustrophobic. • A single teabag and one sachet of instant coffee in a mug. That’s it. • Wall paper peeling off wall. • Water went cold and wouldn’t get warm again. For the price, this setup is a joke. Would not recommend.

Lovely hotel

Location was very good. Staff were friendly and very helpful (even went out of their way to return something we’d not realised we’d lostl!) The coffee area was great. Bed was big and comfy. Great travel cot (but at an extra cost), plenty of storage, great shower and toiletries.

The only downside for us (because we were travelling with a baby) were the steps and flight of stairs to get into the hotel.

Great for what we needed. Comfy, clean and central location

The location was perfect. Room was basic but clean! Just what we needed for sleeping in as we spent most of the time out and about exploring the city!

The lighting was a bit rubbish. Couldn't figure out how to switch off the bath mirror light and then i think there should of been an extra mirror close to the window.

What a find! Would definitely stay again.

The youngish guy at reception when we checked in was very kind, smiling and helpful. He instantly put our stay at a positive place. Room was great, and had an imaginative and smart design so that its being a relatively small space actually worked to its advantage. We were impressed! The view over the surrounding buildings was fun, like a personal cityscape. Room could have been a little cleaner, but in general was fine. Toiletries provided were good quality and in pump refill bottles, which was another positive. The location was fabulous, approx. 10 minutes walk to the station, and with several cosy bars close by. Communal coffee machine and biscuits were a really nice touch. Coffee was good quality, delicious.

Room cleaning could have been somewhat improved. In general it wasn't a problem though. Felt like the stairwell area could have done with a lick of paint but the communal coffee area was well designed, fresh and kept very clean.

Wonderful. Coffee bar at front door, great experience. Enjoyed every miment of stay.

Convenient location. 10 min walk from the train station and close to the city center. Very comfortable beds.

The automated check in tried to charge us twice for the breakfast. Be careful if you see additional expenses in your bill. Breakfast is in a cafe nearby and although if was tasty, they were inconsistent in their offerings.

Clean and lovely decor, but not good for conferences or work if you want an early start with breakfast

It was clean and stylish, well designed

No aircon, the front door was a nightmare to open and took me ages to realise it just needed a massive shove. Breakfast at Baker and Moore was delicious but so slow, it really made my mornings stressful when I had to get to the conference.

It almost felt like home...

The location is great, the room was very cute designed, it felt like a small studio apartment. The stuff was really nice and the breakfast is arranged in a external place and it is humongous, for people doing tourism gives you enough fuel to visit the whole city.

The only thing that could be a little better is the bed, and I would have liked to have the working space opened a little longer.
