We enjoyed our stay. A little more sitting area would be nice but perhaps we did not look at the pictures in the ad closely enough. The apartment was clean and comfortable but perhaps the kitchen could do with some renewal - especially the cupboards and drawers. We loved the garden and being close to the village.

Great location, charming studio and host.

Great location, charming studio and host.

The studio was perfect for us (me, my partner and our 4 month old baby). It is very close to the centre of Barbizon, which is such a pretty village - perfect for eating out and for art enthusiasts, although not ideal for a pushchair with all the cobbles! The studio is at the back of a really cool art studio with an eclectic mix of art work, I had the privilege of being shown around and practicing my French with Bernard who is an incredible sculptor. There are also amazing sculptures in the garden, along with fresh apples that we enjoyed eating. They provided us a cot for our baby and the kitchen was reasonably equipped - you might want to bring your own knife for chopping veg, it's one of those things that I think is always worth bringing if you're self catering! It is also gated with private parking so nice and secure and convenient. For the climbers, it is a 5 minute drive through the village to Apremont which has a huge amount of climbing.

Bon rapport qualité-prix pour ce petit studio idéal pour personne seule ou couple. Le plus : l'accès au beau jardin où il fait bon pendre un bain de soleil lorsque le temps le permet, ce qui fut le cas pendant mon séjour d'octobre 2021. Très bel automne à Barbizon, ce merveilleux village de peintres en bordure de forêt de Fontainebleau propice à la randonnée au milieu des chaos rocheux. Le moins : impossible de prendre les repas dans la petite cuisine ; petite table dans la chambre. Des tabourets seraient les bienvenus.

Wir hatten die Wohnung für unseren 9 Tägigen Boulderurlaub gemietet. Das Gebiet Apremont ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Andere Gebiete sind nur eine kurze Autofahrt entfernt. Kunstliebhaber sollten bei den Zahlreichen Gallerien in Barbizon etwas finden. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt. Im riesigen Garten haben wir die letzten Sonnenstrahlen des Tages genießen können. Zusätzlich durften wir uns an den Zahlreichen Apfelbäumen bedienen. :) Der Vermieter spricht zusätzlich zu den hier angegebenen Sprachen ein wenig Deutsch. So konnten wir uns trotz unseres gebrochenen Französisch gut verständigen. Ich kann die Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
