About this cottage rental
In the heart of the village of Barbizon, independent gite located on the first floor on courtyard and main street with a large kitchen with dining area, a living room, a bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with two beds, a bathroom with shower and WC . Equipped kitchen and bathroom. Electric heater in all rooms. Internet access. Laundry room on the ground floor with washing machine, dryer, table and iron. Access by the courtyard on which gives another gîte and the owners' accommodation.
Close to shops, café, restaurants, galleries, museums. Barbizon is a village of painters, seat of a painting school of the 19th century whose best known representatives are Jean-François Millet and Théodore Rousseau as well as Jean-Baptiste Corot. Village chosen by them for its proximity to the forest where there are now many hiking trails and climbing sites.

Great little place on the main street in Barbizon. Friendly owners who persevered in English due to our lack of French skills. Not particularly fancy or anything, but very good value for the price. You can walk to some boulders in about 20-30 minutes which is a big bonus.
Parking was not included like it said on the listing which was a shame, but we parked easily 2 mins walk away so wasn't an issue.

Great location! Near everything including restaurants and the forest. Plenty of space for 2-3 people. Street parking is easy minus the peak hour weekends. Will book again.

The hosts were lovely, the place was very big for the price, and the location can't be beat! Within two blocks of all the shops in town, and 500m to the edge of the forest.
An excellent place to stay for a long rock climbing trip.
