About this cottage rental
The house Villa Hortensia is very comfortable and ideal to rest or to discover our beautiful region: the Champagne classified heritage of Unesco. It is an independent house with its own garden and car park in a half-timbered farmhouse with lots of charm near the owners' house.
You will enter a park with an alley lined with boxwood. Very quiet, tastefully decorated, comfortable, in the heart of the vineyards of Champagne, in the middle of the countryside near the city of Dormans between Epernay capital of Champagne and its famous avenue of Champagne, Chateau-Thierry hometown of Jean de la Fontaine 20 minutes away, Reims Ville des Sacres 30 minutes, 1 hour from Eurodysney (by car), 1 hour from Paris (train station Dormans direct), 110 km from Roissy airport and 78 km from Vatry airport. The house comprises on the ground floor of a large living room with fully equipped kitchen, spacious dining room, living room with 2 sofas including a convertible sofa bed that unfolds with a thick mattress Bultex comfort, armchairs for a cozy atmosphere, TV HD, stereo, DVD player, WIFI and separate WC. Upstairs you will find a spacious landing with a sofa bed Bultex new and comfortable mattress that can be isolated by a blackout curtain to make an extra room with a plasma screen,
a room with bed for 5 people: 1 bed 90, a bed 2 places 140 and a bunk bed in 120 and its private bathroom with walk-in shower of 80X120, washbasin and WC,
1 room with a bed 2 people in 160, a cot with a sink,
1 room with 1 bed 2 persons in 160,
1 bedroom with 1 bed 160 and 1 bed 90 with a sink, 1 large bathroom with bath, washing machine, tumble dryer, changing table,

The house is very well equipped: HD tv, Weber charcoal grill, pierrade appliance, croque monsieur ... and also for young children: 2 baby high chairs, wooden bed with bars, changing table, spoon and cup for baby. ...
Your private garden is facing South, South West with beautiful sunsets over the countryside equipped with a Weber barbecue, 10 lounge chairs, garden furniture and deckchairs that invite you to relax.
In times of agricultural crop during your stay you can get into the harvester to experience life on the farm.
It was a place of battle during the First World War 1914 1918. Military cemeteries are nearby.
Charges included (water, cleaning end of stay, bed linen and 1 towel per person, electricity). Beds made on arrival.
Rental mandatory from Friday for small and large weekends.
Babysitting possible on request by our 16 year old daughter to allow you to enjoy for example our very good restaurants on Dormans and the surrounding area.

We had a great week here. The house as everything we needed and more. Lovely play area and lawn for the children to play which was a real bonus. Only 65 mins from Disney and an easy motorway drive, (about 9 Euros peage each way). Dormans itself doesn't have too much to offer for tourists but Epernay and Reims are close by and Paris also possible for day visits. Also there are other chateau not too far away but after many excursions it felt great to return to the house and just chill, and play games with the children in the garden. And of course we had champagne! We took paddling pools with us for the kids which were great to cool off as we had hot weather. Veronique the host is lovely as well. All in all a great stay.

L'hôte Véronique n'était pas présente pour nous accueillir mais à beaucoup communiqué avec moi pour préparer notre arrivée. Le gîte est bien équipé et spacieux.

This apartment is situated in a beautiful surroundings and is still very accessible from the highway. At night you can see the stars yet all facilities are within an arms reach. We were surprised to find how quiet the place is. Very recommendable for people who like their peace and quiet. Ms. Coubronne is very friendly and helpful, we would definitely come here again.
