About this villa rental
Wonderfully private and newly refurbished 2 bed villa, located on the Costa Tropical in the sought after area of Cotobro, Almunecar. An easy drive from Malaga or Granada airports; Almunecar has a warm and sunny climate year round, beautiful beaches and a lovely historic town. All the lifestyle options are close by, from casual to fine dining through to sports or outdoor activities for your perfect retreat in the Mediterranean sun.
The Space
The villa features an incredible, large and sunny South facing terrace with Mediterranean Sea views and access to the large and private 13 metre pool. With a stylish, contemporary fit-out, the villa has a Double Master bedroom, second bedroom with 2 single beds and an open plan kitchen/dining/living area. All open to the terrace and are perfect for enjoying easy indoor/outdoor living and relaxation. The villa is close to local buses, supermarket and restaurants. The kitchen includes all crockery, utensils and appliances you could need (including a dishwasher and washing machine), the bathroom is modern and tidy and throughout the villa all your comforts have been considered. Two split system air conditioners, ceiling fan as well as shutters, blinds and awnings are available for you to choose sun, shade or both – or perhaps a long lie-in or afternoon siesta!
The pool
The pool is available for guests between Mid May and October.
It is an excellent size for swimming lengths. Please note that access to the pool involves climbing up steps to a higher level. The views are worth it !

The villa is modern, well equipped, spacious, and has a great heated pool. A/C works well and all windows have shutters. Terrific views across Almenucar, and is in a quiet safe area with easy on street parking. The arrival arrangements were not good - instructions for location sent on the day and then no information to say it was self check-in and that the owner was not going to be there - they were in the UK - and a delay in locating keys because of a lack of pre-arrival information. Also take care if using Google Maps because there is a Calle Buena Vista in Herradura, which for some sites is deemed part of Almenucar. Property interiors in the area seem to be plagued with tiny ants - resolved once all surfaces, nooks and crannies were cleaned. You can't use the dishwasher or leave anything edible out. There's a group of 10 cats that live under part of the owner's adjacent property. It is disconcerting that the grounds of the villa are being accessed by someone who feeds the cats, and means what animals need to do is close by. The walk down to the promenade is only 600m but it is very steep at 1:8. We drove to a small parking area just above the main seafront. For the pool, the space, and the modern feel to the place it is one I do not hesitate to recommend. It could be close to perfect if some of the niggles were resolved - a professional management company to do checks and handover would help. Resolution of cats needs to happen now, not in October as planned.

Das Haus verfügt über eine tolle Terasse mit super schönem Meerblick! Das Haus ist privat und sehr zentral. Die Küche ist sehr gut eingerichtet, es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Gail war als Vermieterin sehr engagiert und hilfsbereit. Sie hat sich stets darum gekümmert, das alles in Ordnung ist!
Leider konnten wir den Pool nicht nutzen, auf den wir uns sehr gefreut hatten. Er wurde renoviert. Gail war aber bemüht eine Alternative für uns zu finden. Wir würden die Unterkunft jeder Zeit wieder buchen!

La casa de Gail es preciosa, con unas vistas espectaculares sobretodo desde la piscina. La piscina es una divinidad, grande, espaciosa y el jardín muy bonito con unas hamacas muy cómodas.
Es una casa muy bien decorada y muy equipada. Además nos dejó de todo.
La casa está ubicada en la Urbanización El Cotorbo, muy tranquila y se puede acceder al pueblo caminando, aunque hay cuestas, pero en 5' se llega al paseo de San Cristobal.
La playa del Cotorbo es muy bonita, con muchos servicios.
La casa es ideal para pasar unas vacaciones fantásticas como las hemos pasado nosotros. Para volver...
