Like a hotel suite, this comfortable studio is fully equipped with a contemporary and spacious living room, for short or long stay. Near Opera Bastille, Place des Vosges, Saint Paul district, the Marais, many museums nearby, trendy district, popular, day and night entertainment, shops, bars, brasseries, restaurants, very well served by public transport ( taxis metro bus) Lyon, Nord, Austerlitz, Saint Lazare, (Paris-) Charles-de-Gaulle airport (airport) of Orly.

The apartment is in a convenient location near Bastille station. It takes only 3 minutes walk to the metro station. There are many restaurants and bars around the place. The apartment has everything I need and is very clean and comfortable. I look forward to staying this place again.

We stayed here for 3 weeks during the Olympics. Check-in was okay as we were met by a nice lady who let us in and showed us around but a lockbox would have been easier. Note, there is a limited check-in window, so if you happen to arrive in the late afternoon, you will have to make other arrangements. All the windows in apartment face an alley that was off Rue De Lappe, one of the biggest party streets in Paris. No exaggeration 7 days a week you can expect people in the alley, yelling, drinking, laughing etc from 11pm until 7-8am every day. This also happens to be the only time when you can cool down the apartment so you are left with opening the windows and a security issue or putting the security shutters down and dealing with the heat. The Paris summer can be unrelenting with and this property was described as having an “air conditioner” but a Dyson fan is not an air conditioner. It got so hot in the apartment we had to purchase a fan as it would have been unliveable without it. The fold down bed was very uncomfortable with a thin mattress about 2 inches thick. This made it hard to get a comfortable nights sleep. Add that to the no air con, noisy street and you start getting the picture. It was close to Bastille station which is a well connected stop with access to 3 train lines. It also had a very good selection of food and drink options at your doorstep and a supermarket 2 minutes away. The apartment is also well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen.

The apartment was spotless. M. Durand was very communicative with booking and Mme. Rosario was very thorough in showing us the apartment's features. Nearly instant hot water, fully stocked with towels and linens and kitchen cookware and dishwasher/washing machine. Note: no clothes dryer, but there is a heated towel rack and we just air-dried everything. We were aware the street is a party street so we brought a Bluetooth speaker for white noise and were never bothered by external noise. ATM two doors down, a creperie and boulangerie up the street, two blocks to a Monoprix and one block to a Monop' if you need any basics. We were thrilled with this apartment. Merci, merci beaucoup.

I loved the apartment everything was amazing! So close the Metro so it was easy to get around. The property owner and manager Nimpha were both so helpful and prompt in responses checkin and out were so easy. A lively part of the neighborhood so beware. Overall our honeymoon was better because we stayed there!

We liked the unit and location was in great proximity to BASTILLEs. That being said, noise was definitely an issue , particularly on Friday nd Saturday nights as it is located on a street with 5-10 bars and clubs. Kitchen was good and nice to have washing ,machine. I’m on a cane and coming off a broken hip, and would have really liked safety bars in shower and next to toilet.

The apartment is sparkling clean, well equipped, and attractive. The space is generous for two people, and the bed is comfortable. Alain and Nimpha Rosario promptly reply to questions. It's near Line 1 on the Metro, and it's easy to get to other parts of the city by Metro. The only downside is nighttime noise from local bars and tourists.

We were met at the agreed upon time and given the keys, shown the apartment, and how everytthing worked. The apartment was immaculate and well furnished with quality towels and bedding. The kitchen was well equiped. A fine apartment. The building is a completely secure building with elevator and the apartment is on the 1st floor rear away from the main street. It needs be remembered that this is in a very lively area with many bars and restaurants. There is street noise late into the night and early morning. The apartment is well insulated for sound and there are shades tthat also help with street noise. The host was kind enough to also provide earplugs. They worked well. Communication with the host was excellent. Highly recommended, just know you are in a lively area of Paris.

Our experience with this stay was easy and wonderful from beginning to end. We had good communication from the owner, had everything we needed in the apartment (there's no oven, but who wants to stay in and bake when you're in Paris!), and were close to a few markets for any grocery needs. All other reviews made note of the noise from the nightlife (it's directly above a street of bars and clubs) and they were right. There is noise until about 2:00am, but it's nothing that some earplugs can't fix, and we were so tired from walking each day that it didn't stop us from falling asleep easily. It is around the corner from a metro stop and so many wonderful cafes bakeries. It's a great location, only a 15 minute walk to the Seine and a little over a mile to Notre Dame. The apartment owner provided bottled water, perrier, laundry soap and some basic toiletries and pain medicine. It felt very homey and welcoming. The only challenge we encountered was a very hard and lumpy mattress. Overall, we picked a great place and would absolutely stay again.

Pros: The apartment was perfectly clean and well apportioned. Anything we needed for our stay was there. We had the wrong street address (our fault) and the property manager, Nimpha, kindly came and collected us. She gave us a great overview and explained everything very well. The property is located quite near the Bastille Metro station, which was very convenient. Cons: The apartment was VERY noisy. The windows overlook an alley that has a dance hall/event venue. The apartment literally shares a wall with a dance club. People queue up every late afternoon and there are many people outside the window, increasingly drunk through the evening. It never stopped before 1 am and Friday and Saturday went on to 4 am. Keeping the windows closed helped somewhat, but the apartment was warm for us and we were unable to turn the heat down. "Zenitude" is not the word... it's more like "When-are-they-going-to-stopittude?" The entrance is not on the alley, but the street it is on has about a dozen bars from the door to the corner, about a half block. We had no problem, but it was awash with inebriated people every night, again especially Friday and Saturday. Also, if you charge to use what's in the apartment (like coffee), it is not 'for your convenience. Overall, a nice place to stay, especially if you are a party animal. If you prefer to sleep in the dark hours, keep looking.

The apartment was just as described if not better. We were met by the caretaker who was friendly, informative and so welcoming. She showed us everything we needed to know and offered her phone number if any questions should arise. In reading the reviews before going there was some complaint about the street noise at night. Yes, there was some but it was all part of the neighborhood. We did just fine with the noise and the crowds at night. There was easy access to the metro, great restaurants all over and a truly wonderful bakery a block away for fresh croissants every morning. Without a doubt we would stay here again should we return to Paris. I hope someday soon to do just that.

We spent 7 nights here, a new area of Paris for us. The apartment is very well stocked and comfortable. We had the windows open occasionally, but never at night, so noise was not a problem. The neighborhood is very lively, but that made it fun, too. Very safe, conveniently located. Highly recommend!

Everything a Paris rental could ever offer. We will recommend this rental to others visiting Paris. After staying here for two weeks all our apprehensions regarding noise were put to rest. This apartment was close to numerous grocery stories, cafes (even some gluten free ones, if you're a traveling celiac like me), and metro stops. We read beforehand that it can be noisy at night, but we didn't have any problems as long as the windows were closed. We stayed during the height of summer with temperatures around 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit and the apartment was still comfortable. Upon checking in, the manager met us there and showed us how to work all the appliances, and she spoke great English so she was easy to understand. Overall a highlight of our trip to Paris. :)

My wife and I have been traveling to Paris for decades. We usually stayed in Saint Germain but decided to try La Bastille this trip. We have found our new, favorite neighborhood and apartment. Roquette is perfectly located, steps from La Bastille metro and steps from excellent restaurants and weekly street markets. There were previous comments about noise. This is a robust neighborhood with a lot going on. We stayed for nine nights and the nights where there was some noise, we just turned on the floor fan for some white noise. There were no issues. My wife and I cannot thank the apartment owner enough for making such a great property available. There were no issues and everything worked. We will be back. Thank you!

Alain was an amazing host. Our flight was delayed and had easy conversation with Alain that we would be a little late to the Airbnb. Host greeted us in front of the apartment. The whole apartment was clean and spacious! The washing machine was a great amenity to have on the trip and the host explained how to use. The apartment is 4 minute walk from the metro station that could get us anywhere in the city. 20 minutes to Eiffel Tower and lourve all from the metro. There were so many local food/drink options around the Airbnb all walkable. We ate at wonderful restaurants right down the street. Very comfortable stay with great access to the city. Would recommend to anyone coming into Paris to sight see!!

Appartement très propre, bien décoré avec toutes les commodités nécessaires pour un séjour agréable. Il est bien situé, car à un coin de rue d’une bouche de métro avec plusieurs lignes qui nous amènent partout dans Paris. Le seul bémol, c’est qu’il est situé dans une rue où bars et restaurants se côtoient donc très achalandée les week-ends jusqu’au petit matin. Sinon, c’est un appartement que je recommanderais. De plus, je décerne une étoile à la personne qui nous a accueillis.
