Quinta da Espadana

We really enjoyed our time at Quinta da Espadana. Ana is a wonderful host and managed to make the place feel like a real home away from home. The house was perfectly clean, very comfortable, and had everything we needed for our trip. Having a washing machine and a dryer helped a lot, and Ana added such thoughtful touches, like leaving swimming towels for us and fresh flowers in every single room. It was also incredibly quiet, and we slept amazingly well! We spent our late afternoon out on the terrace just relaxing, taking in the beautiful views, and watching the cows in the fields. On foggy days, the scenery looked enchanted. There is also a very sweet, friendly cat that hung out with us and made the stay even better. It is a very peaceful place to unwind, and we would definitely recommend it.

Het huis was prachtig, de omgeving en het uitzicht waren geweldig. Het huis is netjes en schoon. Het voelde als thuis komen. De host is ontzettend lief. Ze weet veel van de omgeving en wat je kan doen. Ook welke restaurants aan te raden zijn. Ze is ontzettend betrokken en laagdrempelig te benaderen.

We absolutely loved Quinta da Espadana. The house is spacious, spotless, well equiped and very comfortable – perfect for couples, families, or friends traveling together. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace with its views, and picking fresh tomatoes from the little garden every morning was such a treat. The location is also excellent for exploring the island, with lots of great hikes within half an hour’s drive. What made our stay remarkable was our host, Ana. Being a good host is an art, and Ana is simply perfect at it. She is warm, thoughtful, knowledgeable and attentive without ever being intrusive. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel at home. Her hospitality turned a great stay into something truly special
