Diplomat Suites Hotel

Comfortable bed. Nice airy huge rooms. Great shower. Great opening french doors/windows for breeze. Good views. Good kitchen facilities. Loads of storage. Felt secure and safe at all times. Quiet at night. Only 5 mins walk from 28 Mall. Free taxi transfer one -way. Breakfast in adjoining hotel good. All receptionists and staff were helpful and cheerful. Special mention of Flora. A really lucky find for the money.

The plug sockets seem to be very loose with all kinds of adaptors. The extension lead for the fridge and microwave ran over the back of the electric hob, which seems a little dangerous if the back rings are on.

Rooms were cozy and comfortable with an apartment feel. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and always available.

The building was a bit creepy, I believe it was getting renovated.

The location of Diplomat Suite Hotel is excellent. It is very convenient for exploring the city, with many restaurants, shops, and attractions nearby

The only thing is that the staff is very helpful. :)

The hotel is old, smells of old pipes, and is good only for a short stay. The staff is excellent, kind and trying to help, but they cannot do anything about the poorly set up ventilation and exhaust system that brought sewage gases and smoke from neighboring rooms directly into my space. The cleaning was also bad; both the bathroom and kitchen were dirty. While I appreciate the kindness of the staff, I will never stay here again.

I rented a sea-facing, one-bedroom apartment with a stovetop and washing machine. Out of all of these amenities, only the washing machine worked as promised. Instead of the sea, the apartment faced the wall of a closely located neighboring building. There were no pots or pans to cook with, and the smell was terrible due to a wrongly installed shower drain and plumbing. I had to block the shower drain with a plastic bag and a water bottle to stop the sewage gases from entering, but the ventilation system couldn’t be fixed or turned off. I ended up having to leave the windows constantly open in 12°C weather with no heating. It was a highly unpleasant experience. The staff informed me that no other sea-facing rooms were available without these issues during my one-week stay. Overall, a very bad impression.
