Peaceful home in the Irish countryside

The house is comfortable, clean and well equipped. The location is very peaceful, about 10 minutes from Kilkenny, which made it easy to drive in when needed. The river walk was a great chance to get into nature. Fergus was a great host!

Superb

Beautiful house in a lovely countryside location, very well equipped with lots of nice touches including a well stocked kitchen. The property is as described however the pictures can't truly capture the lovely atomsphere of the house. The Bar/Music room was a perfect place to ring in the New Year. The views of the countryside are wonderful even though it was the depths of winter when we visited. Lots of fabulous old trees and I can imagine that the colours would be wonderful in Spring or Autumn. I normally don't rent a property where the owner lives on site but I'm glad I made on exception for this as the set up is very well arranged and whilst Fergus was there if we needed anything it felt totally private. Would definitely visit again.

Peaceful, comfortable relaxing stay in a beautiful period home.

The house is beautiful. The area is beautiful. The rooms are amazing and the beds (although the double beds are not very wide) are very comfortable. Very sound proof, and quiet. The kitchen is very well stocked and the host left some lovely treats for us on arrival. There is a dishwasher and washing machine in the kitchen and dishwasher tablets and washing pods supplied. Bathroom, plenty of lush towels, toilet roll supplied. There are great views and a lovely walk to the river. The host have is some helpful tips on local shops and places to get food.

The only issue we had was with the fact that there was only one bathroom, the only toilet in the house is in that bathroom and if someone is in the shower you can't use any water in the rest of the house and the shower temp is very difficult to control anyway.. There were only 4 of us, but if the house is full with 8 people, you may struggle..

Lovely big house, lots of room for six girls. Amazing river walks. Very quiet and peaceful. Didn’t need to leave the location every need was catered for. Fergus extremely friendly and helpful

Fantastic stay-cation that exceeded all expectations

The location was amazing and exceeded all expectations. From driving down the driveway to waking up in the mornings and looking out the window to having breakfast by the window the views were exceptional. An amazing house in an even more amazing location. Fergus was the most helpful and welcoming host. Although there was nothing needed as everything and more was provided Fergus remained in contact with us throughout our stay and provided us with anything we needed or asked for. Fergus ensured that we had an exceptional stay from start to finish and allowed us to have the most amazing stay-cation. Fergus is a fantastic host with an amazing house

The only complaint I have is that we didn’t stay longer.

La cocina y el baño

La casa demasiado frio y antigua olía a humedad y lo peor el Alfitrion( dueño) vive en la casa de al lado pegado. Desde que llegamos vigilandonos por las camaras. Me escribíos un mensaje al poco tiempo de entrar en la casa diciendome que como estaba viendo habia invitados en la casa y que no podia a ver nada mas las dos personas que habia contratado, que se tenian que ir o llamaba a la policia. Yo no daba credito con lo que estaba escuchando.Tiene camaras por todos sitio. Desde fuera lo veiamos sentado con los monitores de las camaras vigilandonos. Daba miedo. Hasta esa noche tuve una pesadilla de que se llevaba a mi hjjo. Pfff lo he pasado fatal. Vino a la casa con malos modales nada miedo y mis hijos asustados. El anuncio esta mal informado Pone casa de 4 dormitorios y yo iba con mi hija a visitar a mi hijo de 14 años que esta alli con una familia. Fuimos mi hija y yo para visitarlo , lo recogi y ya fuimos a recoger las llaves ,ahi fue el mensaje que me mando de la visita q no podia estar 😳 Pues para dos persona me abre una habitación para mi hija que es una cama de matrimonio y luego me abre otra habitación para mi que es otra cama de matrimonio. Por la noche me dijo mi hijo que si se podia quendar conmigo durmiendo en la misma cama, ya que era de matrimonio. Pues hable con este señor y le pregunté si se podia quedar conmigo que solo eran dos noches y me dijo que no , que tenia que pagar y me dijo que tenia que ser por habitación. Le dije que yo no queria otra habitación que mi hijo iba a dormir conmigo. Que solo ibamos a dormir xq eran solo dos noches y nos levantábamos a las 7;00 de la mañana para ir a Dublin todo el dia para conocerlo. Pues me dijo que no. Me dijo que tenia q pagar , 200 euros. Lo vi excesivo y le volví a explicar que no iba a comer ni a estar alli, no me dio ni toallas para mi hijo ya que iba a pagar y encima no usar una habitacion…le pedi que por favor razonara que solo era dormir y veía mucho lo que me pedia..
