It is clear, but booking system/ internal communication of the hostel is confusing.

The location of the hostel, good for money

The booking system is a bit confusing. We booked the hostel a day before and had received confirmation email from booking.com and the hostel. But when we arrived, the hostel reception was closed. Lucky there was a phone number on the hostel email and we phoned the staff. The staff came in 5 mins and passed us the keys. He told us it was a quite season, so the reception was not open as usual time. Plus, he could not find our booking and another staff did not know our booking. I would say the hostel itself is good for money and location is ok. But the internal communication or the booking system of the hostel will need improvement.

Decent value for money in unbeatable vicinity to the train station

The Location was excellent and value for Money pretty good! The Host made a Kind effort to contact us after we had trouble receiving our Bodensee Card.

The room and kitchen facilities are quite Basic and minimal, and Fans of a firm mattress might be disappointed ! For just a couple of nights though, it did the job!

Decent budget hostel in Lindau

I liked that the shower room was a private room, but I’m unsure how many there were on the property. I arrived very late and left extremely early so I didn’t have to wait for the bathroom or shower room, but if there weren’t many, I can see how this could be a problem in a hostel.

I informed the staff I was getting in at midnight and they left me with an un made bed, no outlets to charge my phone. I had to make my bed in a dorm when everyone was sleeping. Incredibly overpriced.

Great spacious hostel with lovely staff.

The location is great, it's right on the lake and very close to the train station. Only a 5-10 min walk into city centre. The dining hall was nice and spacious and the rooms were big. The beds were perfectly fine and everyone gets a locker. There is a toilet then a shower and toilet on each level which doesn't seem like enough but was perfectly fine. The breakfast was filling enough and 7 euros (paid with cash).

The letters on the beds weren't obvious so it was hard to find the correct bed to sleep in. There wasn't a bath mat outside of the showers so the bathrooms were sometimes wet.

The room was very clean and very nicely furnished. Everything was we needed was in the room. The hostel is in the very city centre, which is perfect.

Would not book it again

Hostel is on the island, not too far from the train station (10 min walk detour because you cannot cross the railway)

- staff was not there for check in (no introduction or information possible, so my locker was already closed and I could not lock my personal belongings) - no hairdryer - not very clean in the room and blocked drain in the shower - if the window is open during the night it’s too cold because of thin blanket - facilities need an urgent renovation - front door were open even during the night (not very safe) - no opportunity to stay outside your room after 10pm - very loud floor

Like : People at the Hostel are just Amazing ! A real good Germans, thank you for their hospitality and their kindness. The location is top Dislike : I cleaned my sole and put it on the window, and a bird come and stole it to build a nest with lollllllll Everything was perfect kept going

BASIC but CLEAN

We stayed here on our way to Italy as a one night stop. We were traveling with our family of 5 and rented two rooms. They were clean and very basic but the unit with the kitchen was well stocked! The staff was very friendly and the park nearby was awesome! Had we known it was there, we would have planned for a longer stay.

Near from the railwas station. The bedding was clean and comfortable.

we arrived around 8:00 in the evening and left around 7:00 in the morning, so we only went for one night: to get a good night's sleep. the bedding was clean, but apart from that, nothing was good: there was hardly any heating in the room, we had to sleep in clothes, it was so cold! Unfortunately, the entire accommodation is in an amazingly neglected state: everything shows that in the last 25 years nothing has been spent on anything, neither a clean painting nor the purchase of a 10-euro kettle, a lot could be done with the place, but it is a ruin. unfortunately, everything is so "unclean, crap". I already understand, there were those who wrote, as an assessment, that he "left here immediately", obviously, he had the opportunity to go somewhere else. There was a terrible smell of chemicals or similar stench everywhere, which you could feel had been permeating the entire building for years. "Walls" lined with Pozdorja plates, nowhere to put down a package or a jacket, or to sit on 2 chairs, neither a common kitchen nor a common room, unfortunately nothing was available. Upstairs there was a fridge in a small corner, but there weren't even 2 cups, and a kettle so that you could make your own tea on a cold windy day, unfortunately, nothing was available: nothing. Yes, there was a CLOSED door, maybe labeled "kitchen", but it was locked, so you couldn't go in there. The e-mail sent in advance, written only in German, with about 10 (!) pages, also stated that breakfast can be requested, if announced 3 days in advance, or something similar,, I don't even understand. After leaving, they asked me to put the key on the small table, I put it there, but they wrote and called me several times on the phone asking where the key was, "it's a problem that the key always disappears" I'm sure I put it on the table in the room, I'm sorry , if you got mixed up with someone.

Of course it doesn't have modern design but it was overall clean, including wc and showers, very comfortable bed, and of course nice and caring staff ( especially Carlotta if i remember the girls name at the reception right ). The place was quiet and close to the lake.

Location just behind train station but had to walk distance to get to hotel because needing to cross tracks. Stairs are steep, don’t remember any fans and it was very hot. Floors uneven and rooms were very bare. They did have breakfast option and they did have a bar.

The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in while on holiday, absolutely loved it. Great location, easy access to rooms late at night through side door.

I felt it was a little bit expensive for a hotel where toilet and shower were shared with other guests.

The reception was very freindly. The hotel is very close to the lake. There is a big dining room with a piano in the ground floor.

The interior is a bit old and small, with very narrow and steep stairs. It looks very close to the station but actually it is not, since it is on the other side of the station's entrance and you need to make a long detour to get there

The staff: friendly and helpful.

The steep stairs to my room (it's an older building) and the long walk from the station to get to the hostel. It's SO close (as the crow flies) but one can't cross the train tracks there - so it's a bit of a walk north to the bridge, then south to the train station. No problem for the young and fit!

The place is in bad need of a bit of tlc. The staircases are old and steps very narrow. Everything has an air of dilapidation. It definitely was clean but for the price per night it was very run down. Facilities could be better. We didn't see any facilities for cooking or making yourself tea or coffee.

It’s fine for a short place.

Good location, the lake is 2-3 minutes walk, the train station is a 10 minutes walk away. You have to walk around the bridge although the hostel is right beside the railway. The beds were comfortable and it is cheap compared to other prices in the area. There is a shop nearby and a lot of restaurants. The staff is very nice.

The building is very old and noisy, easly you can hear the noises our of the other rooms. There is no mosquito net on the windows, we slept with open window because of the heat so a lot of bug and huge spiders came into the room. There are steep and narrow stairs.
