Kona Oceanview Penthouse in Kailua Village - Best Ironman location/Kona view!

There were 5 of us including 2 teenagers and a 9 year old. This was our first time in Hawaii and staying at this place was amazing. Can’t say enough about the location, how well stocked the place was (food and items for the beach), and the communication from Francoise. Not only were the views amazing but being so close to things to do and stores and restaurants, was so convenient. The beds were comfortable. The place truly felt like a home away from home. Had everything we needed to go to the beach like chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear including fins, sand toys for our youngest, beach towels, and coolers. Francoise was so awesome at communicating and responding very quickly to any questions or concerns we had. The only things that were negatives were that the on-site laundry was being renovated but thankfully the building manager was able to recommend a nearby laundromat that we were able to use. The other was that while there were ac units in the main space and the main bedroom, the other two bedrooms had a standing fan and the rooms were a bit warmer but the kids were able to sleep without complaint so not too bad. I didn’t realize until the last day that there was a box fan in the closet that could’ve helped. There were ceiling fans throughout and utilizing the balcony outside shades during the heat of the day helped. Overall it was a great experience and would stay there again if we visit Kona.

Great communication from the host, great location close to the heart of Kona, and very comfortable condo. We were here for a week with three teenagers, and loved everything about this condo. We could walk to the Kona pier, many of the unique local restaurants, and lots of the local art and shopping locations. The ocean views from this top floor unit were amazing both morning and evening. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking meals, the beds were very comfortable, and the owners provided lots of guidance on how to enjoy the areas all around Kona and the big island. We will plan to stay here on our next trip to Kona!

Excellent response from host and most helpful with accommodating our needs.Kitchen is most well stocked with every type and size of pots, dishes, etc one could need. Nice to have salt/pepper and various other spices available for all to use.3rd bedroom is small, but suited our needs just fine.Loved the beach toys, chairs, snorkel gear, coolers and various games/puzzles. Fun was had by all.

This is my second stay at this property, and it was an overall lovely experience. The hosts were great, and the location is perfect. However, I wish the place was a bit cleaner. The floor was very dirty, and we had to sweep it every day from the moment we arrived. Some furniture and bathrooms could also use some upgrades. Despite these minor issues, I would still stay here again and hope they can make some improvements.
