The Primrose

Beautiful, really cosy inn with the most friendly and helpful staff I have encountered during any stay. Made us feel right at home with round the clock coffee and tea, plus homemade sweet treats in the afternoon! 5min walk into central bar harbour - cannot fault!

The staff was amazing. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Anna. She offered us a glass of wine, which was much appreciated after a 6 hour drive! We were given a tour of the facility and shown directly to our room. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed and linens were really nice as well. We arrived mid-afternoon and there were fresh baked cookies and chocolate mousse available for guests in the dining room. The location was great. Walking distance to everything in Bar Harbor, but far enough out to be a little less hustle and bustle. They even had perfect parking available to accommodate our 21-foot camper van. Breakfast was delicious as well. They offer a sweet and savory option each day and both were really well done.

Our stay was a memorable event . The staff was attentive and responsive. Our room was well decorated and spacious. The bedding and mattress provided a well slept night. It was so so comfortable and we woke up to a thoughtful menu with delicious flavors prepared to perfection. Primrose elevated our visit to Bar Harbor. Oh let's not forget the exceptional scratch made sweet treats waiting for us when we got back to the Inn later in the day. These folks sure know how to take care of their guests. A must stay in Bar Harbor.

Excellent location for walking everywhere. Staff attentive and welcoming. Brandon, the innkeeper and good host, is well versed in restaurant, activities, and the shops in town. Modern bathroom.
