The warm welcome from the lovely staff, the beautiful decor, the gorgeous views, the waterfront location, the breakfast and the cleanliness. It was such a relaxing break and we loved the hotel!

The slamming doors - could you add a slow close so they don’t slam?

Bayview had very friendly staff! It was a very nice hotel with great housekeeping and turn-down service. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious! The breakfast was more than we expected it to be. The food was locally sourced and delicious. There was a 24/7 pantry available for snacks and drinks that was included with the stay. Would highly recommend to others and would stay here again!

Bar Harbor was the final stop on a month-long trip with my recently retired father. Staying at this hotel turned out to be the perfect finale to our celebration of his retirement. By that point, I was somewhat tired of the typical hotel breakfast buffets, so the special breakfast at Bayview alone would have been enough to make this trip memorable. My dad and I went hiking every day, and the hotel staff always seemed genuinely eager to ask whether there was anything they could do for us. I felt so warm and welcomed throughout our stay. I’m not sure whether it was the hiking, the scenery, or the atmosphere of the hotel, but at times I felt as though I had stepped into a movie or had become a guest at the Dragonfly Inn from Gilmore Girls, where the staff love what they do and treat their guests like family or friends, with genuine warmth and heart. I’m not sure whether this was just my personal experience, so please don’t set your expectations too high. But honestly, I feel like I could spend the rest of the year without taking another trip and still be perfectly happy living off this wonderful memory.

It was the off-season, so you might not get to taste the best lobster if you visit during the first week of May.
