Oystershell Lodge is a beautifully presented three bedroom lodge, nestled in a spectacular setting on the shores nearby Otter Ferry. Uniquely designed to enjoy the stunning views from every angle overlooking Loch Fyne, a perfect hide-away to relax and unwind in a beautiful and tranquil setting.
Interior
The interiors are of a very good standard and the lodge comprises of a spacious open plan living area both warm and inviting, furnished in a contemporary style with comfortable lounges, large TV screen, and a wood burning stove. Spectacular views are featured from the comforts in your living room through the large patio door windows leading out to a wonderful large decking area, only metres from the shoreline. View the changing tides and abundance of sea birds.
The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped with all the modern appliances, including a full-size oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave oven and dishwasher. The open dining area seats up to 6 guests, perfect for entertaining.
One of the many highlights of Oystershell is the floor to ceiling windows in the master bedroom offering spectacular panoramic views over the bay, simply breathtaking to wake up to. Both spacious and light with your own ensuite (shower & toilet only) this is a perfect haven for a romantic retreat. There are also two lovely twin bedrooms with a shared family bathroom.

The lodge is ideally situated on the beach front in the privately owned Ballimore Estate, a wonderful base to explore the boundless historical and scenic attractions that are on offer in this beautiful region, to the many leisure pursuits including walking, hiking, cycling, fishing and sailing, there is something for all.
Within walking distance (0.8 mile) the well-known Oystercatcher restaurant in Otter Ferry is located on the waterfront offering first class food and award-winning ales brewed locally in the nearby Fyne Ales Brewery at the top of Loch Fyne.

The setting could not be bettered for a quiet and beautiful getaway. The kitchen is well equipped. The log supply was very generous as due to the weather we used on a few evenings.
A few things require attention. An unseen Split in a Perspex dining chair caused an injury while in use. We left a note so that this could be picked up quickly. Sliding patio doors in sitting room almost need two people to operate as very heavy and hard to slide. The en suite sink in main bedroom requires a plug.
These were the only three things that we felt would have improved our stay. The lodge offers a comfortable and well equipped base for exploring the secret coast and proximity to The Oystercatcher could not be better.

We had a lovely few days staying in the idyllic spot by the lochside. The views from the cabin are stunning. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing.
It is isolated so make sure you take all you groceries!
The local pub has great meals.

We really enjoyed our stay it was a lovely cottage and a fantastic view. It was in many ways the nicest cottage we've stayed in being romy with good furniture and very comfortable beds.
Would have liked more information such as how the wood fire heated the radiators, that the only access was via single track roads . The fire lighter was empty but we had matches, the kindling was insufficient but there were plenty of logs. The only significant issue was the sliding door which was very stiff, my was unable to open or close it. If the weather had been warmer this could have been an issue.
We would the property if you want a quiet beautiful remote break.
