Villa **** 8 pers. - private heated pool (Corrèze-Dordogne)

My wife and I have just enjoyed a wonderful 2 weeks in this property during one of the most intense heat waves to hit Europe in decades. If you crave peace and quiet it is located in an ideal location, yet only 15-20 mins drive from supermarkets and restaurants. The fantastic pool was very private and provided welcome relief for those 40C days the whole of Europe had to endure and the gite stayed nice and cool downstairs. Pool temperature was perfect. The gite was warm upstairs but when it is an extreme temperature outside that is unavoidable. There were plenty of fans available which meant it wasn’t a problem for us at night and being sensible keeping warm air out during the day helped a lot. In terms of equipment, the gite has everything you could need and more for a holiday. Internet was high speed for those that need to stay connected. There are a range of methods for watching TV for those evenings when it was just too warm for us to sit outside on the lovely patio.Ample secure parking is available and there is a covered parking space of protection from the sun if needed. Veronique, the owner, was very friendly and super helpful. Always quick to respond to any queries and she provided a lovely welcome pack of local produce upon our arrival. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to the region for a very relaxed vacation and once we know our plans for 2027, I will have no hesitation booking this property again.

The house is very well equipped, in a lovely peaceful location. I love the heated pool and the area is beautiful.

This was our second stay here and we’ve booked again for later in the year. There is everything you could need at the house. Comfortable beds, large living room and dining area. The outside dining is undercover so you can dine al fresco whatever the weather. We had glorious weather in the second week. The location is quiet. We explored Pompadour, Objat, Allassac and canoed on the Dordogne.

Lovely well equipped home from home. There was everything you could need and more. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of space in the accommodation and a lovely private and not overlooked swimming pool which is heated. The weather was mixed but that didn’t stop us going in the pool. The surrounding area is peaceful with lots of lovely villages to explore. The Dordogne river is a drive away and it is great fun to canoo or kayak from Vitrac to Beynac. We didn’t do that this time in the region but will do when we visit again. We have already booked again for next year.
