    Highly recommend! The Machiya Kazahaya has everything you need. The building is clean, serene and quiet. Our room was perfect for the 3 of us and it had everything we needed. The location was great, walking distance and short taxi rides to all the major sites. We even got to keep our luggage at the reception desk after check-out for an entire day. Thank you Machiya Kazahaya!

    Given the photos you may think this is akin to a ryokan, but no, just a simple small hotel. A simple room, bath/shower, no staff on site, and no other facilities. Not bad by any means, but for the price you could stay in any three star hotel for half the price and have the same experience but with more on site facilities. The area was residential and quiet which was nice.
