Welcome to Southern Charm on Folly Beach! This gorgeous house is perfect for the large family vacation on the Charleston coast. The home is directly across the street from the beach access, has tropical landscaping and private heated pool! The expansive porches allow guest to enjoy all that Charleston living is about. Southern Charm will be a repeat vacation destination for years to come.
Upon entering the home you will notice the large living areas that allow multiple generations to share the home together. The first floor has a living area with plush couches and flat-screen TV as well as kitchen complete with fridge, glass-top stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. This space also includes lots of entertainment options with a game room, pool table, and foosball table. The 4 bedrooms are able to sleep 10 guests and includes 3 full bathrooms. The first bedroom has king and double bed with private bath. The second bedroom has queen bed and shares a full bath with the third bedroom which also has a queen bed. The fourth bedroom has queen bed and private bathroom.
The second floor features an even large living area with the main kitchen. The large dining table is perfect for family meals or game night. Flat-screen TV and sectional couch provide entertainment for any rainy day on the beach. Large sliding glass doors provide natural light and ocean breezes as well as access to the porch with ocean-views. The kitchen has marble counter-tops and stainless steel appliances. The owners have ensured that the kitchen is well stocked and has all of the gadgets even the most discerning family chef would require. The bedrooms on the second floor include the master with King bed and private bath. The remaining two bedrooms share a full bath, one room has 2 queen beds and the other has 2 twin beds. There is an additional half bath for added convenience.
The private pool helps to complete the relaxation vibe and has gas grill close by for cooking out. Pool can be heated in the off-season at an additional cost. The home is within walking distance of Center street to enjoy the Folly Beach night-life. Located on the west side of Folly the beach is quieter and does not have large crowds.
A short, 20-25 minute drive will take you into historical, downtown Charleston to enjoy all of the charm that the Holy City has to offer. Experience world-class dining, art galleries, explore swanky boutiques, souvenir shopping along The Market, harbor views from The Battery and Waterfront Park, theater, comedy clubs, museums, grand churches, history, carriage and ghost tours, plus so much more! A little slice of heaven! This home and its location were perfect for our family reunion. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. Each floor had something special to offer, especially the game room and bar. The kitchens on both levels were ideal for our needs, providing ample storage and convenience. The views from the porch and balcony were absolutely breathtaking. Plus, the short walk across the street to the beach made everything even better. Truly one of the best beach rentals in the area!A few minor concerns. The additional fee to heat the pool wasn’t disclosed until after the reservation was made. Also, the stove in the main kitchen was not working so cooking became a bit of a task as we had to go downstairs to the other smaller kitchen.

The house has a great location. Sleeps lots of people and large kitchen dining room. Mattresses could use replacing and it is apparent that the home is well used. Painting could be freshened up, new shower curtain liners are needed in most bathrooms. Also, the foosball table never had a ball and the management company was unable to get us one for the entire week of our stay, which was annoying to our 4 teen college aged kids who traveled with us.

The property was fine for what we needed it for. Ex: Showers and sleeping.
You can tell it is weathered by the hustle and bustle of large groups. Some wear and tear on the chairs, sofa, stained pillows, etc. Dish washer was broken upon arrival. Pool was filthy. Scratches and bumps on most of the walls. There was tape stuck to a lot of the walls/ceilings from previous renters. Overall, we were rarely home so it was manageable... but not ideal when you're looking for that "clean" feeling.
Good space to spread out a large group of people. Location was walking distance (>1 mile) to a few bars and stores. We were able to rent golf carts for the back and forth since ubers were impossible to get. Thankfully we also arranged a private shuttle service, or we would've been screwed.
Overall, probably wouldn't recommend for vacationing families bc of the two flights of extremely steep steps. Beach was walking distance, but as a traveling group, we did not have chairs, towels, etc. so we did not get to enjoy it!
Folly beach itself is a quaint, charming little town. Would love to come back again!
