The location of the flat in proximity to the Ponte Vecchio was ideal. A short walk and you were in the hustle and bustle of Florence central. The rooftop terrace was a great respite after a busy day's tourism. Beautiful terrace views both day and night (see photos).The breakfast bar came into its own, a shelter from the fierce morning sunshine during our six-night stay, while still allowing one to enjoy the roof top views. Bed softer than we were used to but we adapted pretty quickly. Quiet and peaceful despite being relatively central and so slept well. Kitchen facilities were basic but enough for a breakfast before heading out to explore. It's a bijou apartment but it works. We're a tallish couple and the chance of hitting our heads on certain furnishings was likely, but never happened. We accepted the scale of the apartment and adjusted accordingly. Was able to log into YouTube and watch some Florence related travel guides for added inspiration. Internet/WiFi good. If you arrive earlier than the check-in time, there's a luggage storage option via a company called Bounce who have a nearby branch within a cute cafe called Madelines near to the flat. Great looking patisseries (see photo) and coffee while you wait for your flat entry countdown. A very special mention to the Firenze Acacia team; absolutely superb. Communication via Whatsapp, but we rarely had to wait too long for the team to get back to us on any of our queries. They were able to recommend and book a lovely restaurant for my wife's birthday which was fab and were generally helpful on recommendations and tips for getting around Florence. No request was too much trouble. Knowing they were there on hand to assist was re-assuring.

The steps leading up the property were a keep fit challenge but we didn't mind. Worth the price once inside the property. A sun umbrella option might be an idea, but given surrounding rooftop terraces didn't seem to have them, chances are these could suffer on a windy day. Once the sun settles behind the property (late afternoon in our case, visiting in the last week of May,) it's a lovely spot to take in the view with a refreshing cold something in hand, so your get the benefits of the view without overheating.

Location, views, rooftop patio, cleanliness, Diana was great to work with! How quiet it was! The crowds of tourists were loud but inside the room it was quiet. Having the Conrad grocery and deli do near was a real plus. We watched a hot air balloon pass over the city at sunrise from the patio over coffee - it was lovely, the weather perfect!
