We booked the Duplex Suite for a few nights stay at the end of February. On the first two nights we were the only guests and two girls came on the third. The bedroom, entrance lobby and shower room were spacious, modern and immaculately clean. The wifi worked well, the bed was comfortable and in the breakfast room we were allowed to make beverages and use the microwave if we wished. Washing and drying machine were FOC. The air conditioner in the bedroom blowed warm air. The cleaner did a thorough job. The grounds and facilities are immaculately maintained and the garden a beautiful setting to sunbathe in.
Our choice of this property at this time of year was because of the SPA option: warm swimming pool, (the water was too cold for me, though it was claimed to be 23oC). My wife anyhow swam. Each morning we used the jacuzzi (34oC) and sauna.
The breakfast was plentiful and ok but not outstanding. At a pace of 100 steps a minute, the distance to the outskirts of the town's shopping street was 20 mins and the beach 27 mins. An Uber from the beach to the B&B cost €6.
The property's owner was very polite and conscientious but I equate this B&B to be the same as Ryanair: you pay the offered price for the room but then are hit by all the extras, so, out of principle, my greatest disappointment was to learn within 5 mins of our arrival that a pool towel would cost €7.50 to rent. What??? A deposit would have been understandable, but a rental cost as an overnight guest 🤬? There was even a rule that shower room towels could not be taken to the pool area 😱 This was totally unacceptable to me and required my wife to calm my expressed annoyance 🙊 Requesting €8 for on site parking is also rather petty, as safe street parking is available closeby. Though we had no issues at this quiet time of year, based on earlier reviews, I can confirm that it is probably highly likely in the summer season, depending on your room location, that you will experience disturbance from either guest noise from the inner furnished courtyard area, or from the building's inner corridor or noise from the immediate nearby bar or road (ear plugs are provided FOC - see photo 🤣). We would have preferred breakfast to have been served earlier than 8.30am.

Great pool and spa facilities. Lovely owner and very helpful. Would stay again for sure, but a few things that could be improved.
Had to pay €7.50 for a pool towel, surely if you have a pool you provide a towel. I could buy a towel for that much! Breakfast starts at 8.30 which is very late so I couldn’t eat before I left. Wi-Fi is a bit slow and Netflix doesn’t connect in the rooms. Bedroom door not soundproofed at all so you can hear people even on their phones as you walk past their rooms so god knows what else you might hear 😅
