If you are looking for RELAXING AND QUIET VACATION, where you can get away from dynamic city life, spend time with your loved ones and reconnect with yourself, this is the perfect place for you.
Our beautiful holiday house consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 toilets, living room and kitchen. On the ground floor, there is a bathroom with shower, kitchen/dining room and living room with SAT TV, free wi-fi and fireplace. On the first floor, there are three bedrooms and toilet.
One bedroom consists of double bed, sofa bed and has a balcony with beautiful forest view. The second bedroom consists of double bed and the third bedroom has two single beds.
The whole house is made out of wood and has a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. House is surrounded by forest and provides you lots of place for relaxing and playing in the fresh air.
Barbeque is also provided so you can make delicious food for your loved ones while your kids play on the swing in the meadow in front of the house. We also provide you with parking space next to the house.
LOCATION
Holiday house "Jelena", a stunning vacation house is located in the mountainous region in Croatia, in the picturesque village of Lokve. This place is popularly called "THE GREEN HEART OF CROATIA" or "Croatian Switzerland". The house is ideally located to relax and explore natural beauties of Gorski kotar, such as national parks, protected landscapes, caves, rivers, lakes, and mountains. It is the perfect place for spending time peacefully in nature with your family and friends.
House is situated only 350 meters from a magnificent lake "Lokvarsko", where you can swim, sunbath and also take a touristic ride on "Čača splav", raft/boat and enjoy the beauties of the lake and stunning landscapes during the 60- minute ride.
The city center is only 2 km drive from the house and there you can find 2 minimarkets, touristic office, cafe bars and touristic attractions such as "Lokvarka cave" and "Frog museum". The closest mini-market for getting your groceries is only 1 km drive from the house.
With only 8 km drive you can get to Delnice, "the city of cleanest air", where you can also make your shopping in big supermarket, visit restaurants, relax in swimming pool and feed the wild animals. The area of Gorski kotar provides a HUGE AMOUNT OF ACTIVITIES which can make your days unique such as bike riding, horse riding, rafting, fishing, hiking, having fun at adrenalin parks while doing paintball, zip line or archery. You can also spend your day at "Golubinjak forest park" which is a wonderful place to relax in. It represents the strong bond between outstanding natural beauty and careful human intervention in it.
If you wish to explore places outside of Gorski kotar and spend the day at the seaside you can easily get there from Lokve. Only 2 km from the house there is a highway Rijeka- Zagreb which can take you on a 40 km drive and bring you straight to sunny Adriatic coast. There you can visit beautiful cities such as Rijeka, Opatija, Crikvenica, and Island of Krk. There you can experience a whole new spectrum of activities such as boat riding, water skiing, swimming and sunbathing at one of many gorgeous Croatia beaches.

Beautiful week in peaceful Lokve, surrounded by forests and the mountains. Needed to unwind and this was the perfect place. The house was comfortable and well equipped. Our host was wonderful and very welcoming. Five out of five for sure!!

Lovely quiet house in the woods, just a short 10 minute walk to the reservoir where there was a nice bathing area with café and jetty which our teenage children loved. Kind hosts who were very generous with providing fruit and chocolates and drinks on arrival. Great communication with hosts and flexible check-in. Only downside was whilst the house had a lovely sloping garden and large balcony, there was no fence round the garden and a small road at the bottom which made having a dog tricky at the property and may also be difficult with small children.
Just to note: the host left us 2 stars for cleanliness and we felt that we left the property tidy and as clean as we could given there were some issues with the hoover.
